what do you think about their production these days ?
imo their sound is awful...it hurts my ears...
I simply can't listen to their music at home more than 20 minutes...
I think the mid range is too heavy...
what do you think? |

IM is now pop-psy.. as someone in this section mentioned few days back. The good old IM music is long lost... they suck now and this topic will be closed, I presume!

i think their prods a excellent...maybe their compositions are'nt what they used to be...but they still have their unique sound. sound travels @ the speed of atm machine

Quality wise they are very good IMO.
On the other side, the music lacks what it used to have...

yeh i think theyre sound sucks too , im sure its mixed and mastered by professionals but i cant listen to them either , saw them at festival and too much mid no bass, it was like hearing a hammer hitting metal, i dunno what it is i like the sound on classical mushroom. its not about thyre track production, but the overall sound just makes the music seem dead to me, but thats my opinion, no trash talkig here |

on i also think it may be because they have live drummer now , maybe thats it, but i saw psylab and they were heady bass |

When you deliberately direct your production to suit a wider crowd that can digest that music...it's nothing less than selling out. They know that they can fill bigger venues with a more "poppier" sound, they can get booked more often so i guess it's all good for them. Money will always be money, but what you do to get it is a matter of critique
