As many of you know, IM are planning a new album in March 2006.
And one of the roumers is that IM is going to collaberate with a US "big star".

Well, the name is revealed. It's Chrystal Method.

Discuss.

... www.discogs.com And in other words. They are the US's answer to The Prodigy and Chemical Brothers. Big Beat Electronica. I love many of Chrystals tracks. Their good.

Opinions differ. Anyway, who cares. IM is no longer a part of this scene IMO.           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."

They are also supposed to work with someone called "Purple Revolver" for a remix of something called kinda like "For the Children" or "Do it for the Kids" - apparently a very popular rock song.

PS. Quoted from IM's homepage.

Edit: I cant find Purple Revolver on discogs, and I have never heard of them. I doubt it's a typing error and that it's supposed to be "Velvet Revolver".

Well, it seems more liike their moving away from IM The Supervisor style. I think and hope that album was their last childish trance album. I dont know what to expect. But as psysoldier said. It's a better direction, at least. But we'll just have to wait and see.

IM The supervisor was fine, I don't see what everyone has against it. It's got some great tracks that are much more original than 90% of the full-on that comes out these days. It's just gotten too trendy to bash IM. They bring psy-trance to the masses, and frankly that's a good thing. I don't go to their lives anymore because the crowd there is too mainstream and they don't play their old stuff anymore but thanks to them lot's of people are discovering other GOA artists, and their albums have always been quite inspired. IM the supervisor was perhaps less trippy than the previous releases, but after converting vegetarian they wanted a more dancefloor friendly release and that's exactly what they produced. Those tracks never fail to send a groove going at parties. Anyway please continue with your bashing. I've never heard of chrystal method but he better be worthy of producing with IM...           Row row row your boats gently down the stream; merrily merrily merrily merrily life is but a dream.

I miss the b.p.empire style. That was the best direction the took imho. This year 'institute of science' sounds very nice.

I thought crystal method were more a rock band with electronica influences....ok..

but i think at the very least, IM have stayed original. sure there new stuff may suck scrotal scabs, but you have to respect the fact they have gone off in their own original direction.

crystal method are good, maybe IM surprise us with something really interesting and inventive.

Yup, velvet revolver. You could've checked their album out. There's a track Do It For The Kids on there. Anyway, Velvet Revolver mixing up with them? I think it's going to be a remix only. Next thing you know we're going to see Deeds Of Flesh cooperating with Infected Mushroom (hehehe, but that will never happen, they hate trance).           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. Crystal Method rocks. Looking forward to hear, really interesting. I allways wanted to collaborate with such artists, and looks like IM done it, respect and good luck to them.
