hahah, yea they are both cheese who are milking "pyschedelic" for all its worth.
perfect match. now if you could just add a coked out indian guru who was born in new jersey to give a "spiritual" talk, then we are talking. |

Really awful that people are bashing on this thread. ya ya ya, we know, you don't like IM. If you don't like it, that's fine, but maybe you can try to refrain from the old typical and tired out comments about IM in this thread.
and i know some of you are chomping at the bit to reply to this. If you do, PM and criticize me there ok.
good luck with your event Vector

nothing is wrong with IM...
but why must they remain one of the faces of psytrance? they've even disconnected *themselves* from it...yet promoters insist on using them to "reach out" to the mainstream crowd...thus further stigmatizing the genre through assocation

I understand the hate on IM, but what you don't understand is Boston never sees an event like this. This town has far too much of a Puritan sense to ever really cut loose and the promoters and myself and all involved have been working hard to make this a magical night for Boston.
I myself usually prefer a different sound than IM, but this will be a great night nonetheless.
Continue on your hate parade. |

it's just that the divide between I.M. and psytrance becomes more and more awkward with every party...
boston sees plenty of club nights, i don't see why this is their chance to cut loose at last

Most club nights are very mainstream (Tiesto, Sasha, BT), and the more underground events are in very small venues tucked away in hidden parts of the city, even with big talent.
This is a night to cut loose because this is a very different event being brought to a mainstream club like Axis, which has some of the best sound in the city imo.
This is not the best Boston could do, but it is a step. Psyforia, the main psytrance event in the Boston area has gone very heavily towards the progressive side of things, and some prefer a different sound. This event, which was a weekly until it was shut down (sans this event), is a step towards a more diverse scene in Boston. |

I have to agree with Kri, I dont understand why there is so much negativity in the american psy-scene, obviously people are trying to help what little scene we have here, yet people get bashed left and right for not being 'psy enough', I think this elitist attitude can be somewhat discouraging to efforts to building a true open minded scene. It makes me kinda miss the old raver days of peace, love, unity and respect...

id rather see tiesto anytime over infected. i saw infected a few weeks ago at a festival and they turned into a metal band. the best parts of the set were the 10 second breaks then back to metal maddness. so i dunno why people are aying we should stop hating on IM.THEY ARE SOOOOOO BAD its not trance or psy or anything tis freaking metal. and if i ewant to see that i can go to a metal head bar |
