... if you arent going to Burning Man.
... if you can cope with the fact that IM are "more as an electronic band rather than a psy-trance outfit these days"
... can handle a massive, in Indio or San Bernardino, with a bunch of candy people.
Hmm, well Pendulum is playing there too. They're pretty damn good if you like DnB, but this is a psy forum, so I'm just gonna shut up now.

pendulum kick ass, i caught them at canes in SD last year.
hmm, yet another massive at the orange show...boy i've been to my share of those, and unfortunately most of them were more than forgettable.. Audiotistic 2000 was cool though.

candy kid festivals!
not my cup of tea, went once with my buddies from college, that was my biggest mistake ever, if it would not have been for Richie Hawtin I would have prolly kill some of those anoying care bears that people think is cool to dress like...
all i can say, depressive.
13-16 years kids that go to hot topic and get their outfits and then got back to school after summer and what did you do last summer kevin? tried E and went to a Rave! thats awesome Kevin!.......

Screw the haters. I'm going, and I'm going to have a blast. I am thankfully gifted with the ability to ignore those that could be percieved as annoying (said "candy kids") and enjoy what truly matters: the positive vibes, the good beats, and the unmatched energy. Don't get me wrong, I love the "pure" psy-parties and intimate get togethers (much love to the straylight crew) but there's something to admire about so many people coming together to celebrate electronic music and dance the night away.
As for infected...well they'll always have a special place in my heart. And no matter how you categorize duvdev and erez now, there's no denying what I have been witness to: they STILL know how to get that energy peaking and the crowd dancing like it was 1977. Hell..make it 67! hehe..
Much love. |

well hazzy, if you can get down at orange show massives, then more power to you. but for me personally, i never felt that great of a vibe or experienced much "unmatched energy" at orange show massives, except for a rare few, like I mentioned at Audiotistic in april 2000, especially when the Roots performed live.
but pretty much every orange show massive i've been to afterwards that has been more or less a bust.
And also, needless to say, it's super lame it ends at 2am and you'll probably be man-handled out by security if you take your time leaving.
so, I'm not a hater, far from it, that's just how I feel about it.

Haha who's to say I'm not into man-handling?
But on the real, I feel ya on this. I actually will only take the time to travel down to an orange massive if there are artists I know I'll enjoy. Also, it can be somewhat of a pain to find quality parties near santa cruz. Yes there are many in the city, but because I have no car and VERY limited funds... at least a massive with artists I like is gauranteed to be cracking w/out being broken up.
It ends at 4 a.m. by the way...basically it's EDC 2. (whether that's good or bad)
And yeah alfreak I'll dance some dance for ya. |
