I agree there is nothing like home, and that this isra down thing is affecting our scene very adversly, but it is we who depended on this channel so heavily, and thus let us give it enough time to recover. |

Its a safer scene with indian section being down. Although it doesnt make much difference, ive seen many freakshows advertising their parties openly on sites like orkut.com.
If you get the chance, please discourage that kinda sh*t. Its a fukin mess!

I swearrr... All u need is an orkut account now and these freaks will make sure u get the party update,location and probably they will arrange the Ds for u also..hehe. Even after repeated requests to these ppl asking them to stop this kinda commercial advertising hasnt made them realise yet. And the scene is getting filled with ppl who dont even know wat the music is about..they just come thinking "oh my god rave info...coool dude". Thanks to these orkut mavericks the scene just gets worse.

hmm .. yea .. not to sound elitist or burnt out or whatever else .. but the crowd quality here has really really gone down . dunno if social networking is to blame or other media here . but its just sad .. its been happening for a while in the cities .. goa / the hills / etc was still doing fine crowd wise .. but even goa lately .. shame . also .. didnt help isratrance posts being discussed @ 9 pm prime time news headlines (all chanells) .. lol , that was incredible

The whole Pune incident is over now (yes cases still might be on) but I think we need to move on as well. We all pretty much know what the media is capable of over here plus to add their ignorance in this situation.

there are two sides to this - a gig needs certain amount of publicity to be profitable. Orgs do put in a lot of effort and the only way they can manage a show is if people come...the scene is trying to revive itself but the energy is very scattered at the moment, since there is no central channel of communication. Hopefully these days will be over and we will find a new groove. |
