Thats the message I get when trying to access it.
I thought our subcontinental friends have been behaving since the last lock up...
I hope it hasnt been locked cos of the police reading problems, I bet it isnt the only forum the po-po check.
I want to know about that busted pune partys aftermath!

Yeah, I'm getting the same message. I think it's better it's shut down for a while. This whole Pune bust fiasco has put the forum into bad light.

One billion indian users requested the section's lock.
This time it's locked and I'll probably forget the keys somewhere, so don't have any hope of seeing it online... Probably will be deleted.

Too much unwanted publicity, I saw about half a dozen news articles directly citing isratrance as being the source of information for these "drug" parties.
The action being taken is a bit too harsh. Sending out a message perhaps.
Wish all get out of this soon.

good move full_on .. this section was all over the news yesterday .. prime time dinner time news big ass story ..special reports etc .. specific nicknames from the india forum were being announced on national tv .. screenshots of the pune party bust plus angry people complaining etc ..all on tv .. shocking ..and a little funy also to be honest ..  . anyway .. what is to become of it now ? delete for good ?  .. o well .. i suppose we can be like all the other countries who dont have an alloted section .. and i spose theres specific sections for posting just about everything .. gereral talk , music talk , party announcements , party reviews .. n so on .. sad and weird .. and shocking and a bit funny 
weird .. wat do u all mke of it indian users ? can we have some sort of a consensus going ? id like to hear the views of the mods /admins/supermods as well , what is being discussed internally ,, please share with us also , keep us in the loop too
discuss here and dont get this thread locked

they've even mentioned a few names from isra on the news....... and among those names mentioned, some of them i noticed were ppl who were not even involved in any way with that party in pune...

damn tis a real shame.... bout the party and the section.Though i hafta admit of late the parties around bombay were pretty dodgy
the india section was always a good read for us psyheads who are overseas.

Fair enough I suppose if a lot of the Indian users themselves want the section locked down. I guess there is no effective means of making sure no-one post party infos.
I just get this sour aftertaste that we are bowing to police pressure. A forum is not illegal. Freedom of speech and all that...
Might the main lesson be for the promoters to remember their bribes?
Hope everyone from that Pune party is allright. Its so ironic and hyprocritical that it was a 'holi' party, the festival of colours, the time when even traditional families give their children almost hallucinogenic bhang.
Good luck with the decision on your problem child mods.

i think the mods of isra are already feeling that they have been unecessarily trageted, but here are some observations -
- u say u don't condone drug use, so then why are soo many of your india section posts drug related? It's like saying I don't do drugs and all those hundreds of drug-related posts you find in my house have nothing to do with me!
- most outdoors in india are sponsored by those people, so why let them announce it here (thats the primary reason why the section got shut this time right?)
Let's talk about solutions now. You need to delete all those drug references from all those 60 pages for anything to work again, and then have a very strict policy. If you don't think that can work, then it really can't!
I have always believed that a forum is made by the mods, like a country by its governance, but as long as you keep putting the onus on users, this is going to happen again!
LESSON: you let users mod themselves, they will earn you a ban from their nation  |

my other view is that isra should make an opportunity out of this crisis -
put up a note on that locked section saying that isra is not about drugs but trance music, and how people use it is their prerogative, and that you have learnt your lesson from this and will never allow any outdoors parties to be posted again...you want to promote trance music in its purest form
a lot of media and indians are logging onto that section and they might as well know something about trance while they are |
