Very good Agmis, thanks for prooving my theory wrong by stating officially facts, thats the kind of discussions i love.

By the way for the rest of the users the case speaks about two rap artists, one of them made a track and then the other borrowed some parts of that track (plus some vocals,in fact just three words LOL) so the original artist sued him and won the case. The names of the tracks were different by the way.

So according to that case Dire Straits can actually sue Tip.World and 1200 Micrograms and have many possibilities of winning the case.Ofcourse i doubt if that will ever happen to trance world since we are not dealing with so big ammounts of money here.

P.S Agmis i want to make money in the trance world LOL           Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!

DETOX, I hope you make a lot of money in trance.

This leads me to another point:

What (or who) will stop me from taking a famous trance track (i.e. from GMS, Haldolium, Skazi, etc...) remix it, and make some money. Hell, if they would ever tell me anything, I could always tell them I will contact dire straight, pink floid...

I think it would be kind of interesting to send Dire Straits or Metallica a copy of their remixed songs. I wonder what their reaction would be.

They will never sue you anless you are famous.
That's the best what can happen to both artists, many fake cases in court just to gain attention, that's great PR.

Is Acid for Nothing the first remix like that to be openly released? That's a huge risk that they seem to be taking here, no? And for just one track? Why? I'm confused.

Agmis in order to make money out of something there must be money to make LOL but ok i can always dream LOL

Anyway lets get serious, like you said Agmis you can remix everything you want,i dont think that anyone will sue you for remixing famous psy trance acts,it really doesnt worth suing anyone in the psy scene,is there a case ever in the history of trance by the way?

Cases like this take place usually only in the USA with big pop artists and huge labels, trance in front of this people seems like an ant.           Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!

Well DETOX, some people sue for the principal also.

I will give you an example: a big record company that wants to send a message to the underground world - do not use our music!!

I am sure they would not mind spending time in court since the label already has a law department (that is just waiting for the kill) on their payroll.

Why would they send a message to the underground???
They don't care, what would they gain from that?
Only if you pay them

Mate with all do respect to information you might obtained here the only correct way to obtain useful information, regarding laws etc.. is by contacting one of the worlds music associations - such as AKUM (In Israel) and forwarding these questions to them.
