Gonna wire in the cash tomorrow morning for:
2x CDJ-1000MKIII + Pioneer DJM-800 mixer.
Was thinking about simply getting a new Macbook but the other half of Disco Hooligans just got a new Macbook Pro, so between my quad MacPro and the Macbook Pro, we got the computer thing covered.
So I am getting some new decks as well, as our debut LP is getting released right after easter time and we plan on getting some gigs for live sets, as well as DJ sets.

Any good/bad experiences, please share them on here.

Peace out.

$1500 for each cd deck and you are gonna complain that the virus is too expensive for what it does? I'd rather get a used ti desktop any time of the day!

anyway unless you own a club and plan on bringing in top dj's this is useless. you can just get cdj 200 for much cheaper and many people will agree taht its more then enough and it is standard in psytrance parties

on thing to think about is:

what will you play with on the events? most likely not 1000 mkIII.. more 200's or even 100´s still... so if you get used to the decent and without question rock solid quality of the 1000's you always have to readjust your handling in the time when its really important to know your gear!

its a decent setup your´e going for for sure. sort of the industry standard for a good dj setup. you will defo NOT be disappointed mate..

i would still have in mind what you use them for. only for some djíng at home to prepare for gigs it´s a lot of money and might not be the best setup to be prepared for rough low budget mixing situations on events

good luck with your release and tell me when its out !!

Too bad you can't mix CDs with the Virus.

I'm getting them for bit more than 1000USD of this guy: http://forum.isratrance.com/2x-pioneer-cdj-1000mk3-1x-djm-800-mixer-dj-package-1000/59-142851/

I thought it was an overkill at first, but since they are so cheap, I might as well.
no?

Is that really true, you're getting it for a little over 1000 Usd?
I've seen lots of these ads, and to me they alwyas seemed fishy.

pioneer gear is way overpriced for what it offers plus it sounds crap compare to a&h, denon, ecler, rane or vestax gear.

I bought a pair of MK3s two months ago and it's the tits.
Pricey stuff but i wanted a nice pair of decks, not just cheap plastic cd players that look bad.
The MK3 is just the industry standard, you'll find it everywhere including clubs, festivals, etc..           Psy stuff : myspace.com/neyaprod
Non-psy stuff : myspace.com/cheaperbits

when i bought my cdj 800's mk1 the only difference between them and the 1000's was that the 1000's are a little better build quality and they had a card so you can store your cue points and loops on the card and take them with you.. it also had 3 que points that it can remmember internally instead of one.
as far as i know they are basically the same, same jogwheel and same feel, you wouldn't even notice the difference mixing.
if you are planning on just having this in your house its an over kill, might as well go for the 800's.
i bought my 800's and i wish i bought the 200's instead because i barely use them!
could have bought another virus intead

well there´s quite big difference in between the 1000mk3 and cdj800 mk1...

on the mk3 you have 0.2% pitchcontroll if im not wrong and you can also adjust how heavy you want your jogwheel
