The new igneous sauria album is ready for production and should be out in the shops during first two weeks of August.

Igneous Sauria aka Christos Tatitzikidis is an established artist within the Psy trance/techno scene for many years now. Born in Thessaloniki/Greece in 79 he moved to London during 96 to study computer programming and music, and having played drums and bass in bands in Greece, he decided to start making electronic music.

The first outcome of this attempt was the well-known project Magus, with releases on Creamcrop DK, Flow PT, Databass FR, Uphonic NL, Resonoise UK, Digital Psionics AU.

In order to make his sound slower and with a more techy feeling he moved on to form his solo project Igneous Sauria, and had quite a bit of success releasing on the most influenial trance labels of the world including Creacrop DK, Flying Rhino UK, Hadshot Haheizar/Cosmophilia GER, Millenium/Yellow Sunshine Exposure, Resonoise UK, Databass FR and Candlyflip GR.

Also for the more chilled side of things, and while still based in Brixton/London he formed the Humito project with Humphrey Baachus, today label manager of Dragonfly/LSD UK, and had successful releases on LSD/Dragonfly.

His remixing credits include: Yumade,Tripiatrik, Charasmatix, Phoney Orphants, Drone etc.

Moved back to Greece during 2003 in order to start Joystick Music a progressive house label, with the first release from MV Envy (and Chris’ remix as Vagua (his prog house project)) been licenced by Palash/Deep Dish for their new mixed CD, and Headstick Recordings a more trance and dub focused sub label.

After the success of Encepfalophagus, his 2003 album on Creamcrop, this time he is releasing his new album entitled Skint on Headstick, providing us with 9 tracks, ranging from clear progressive trance to full on psy-tech.

Good news Chris!!

Your last album was a real treat for the mind. One of the VERY few album released last year that I consider psychedelic and one of the best trance cd's in my collection. When it's time to smoke up and listen to something more intelligent and serious, we often reach for encepfalophagus.

can't wait for the new one and best of luck!!

not so fast... from 129 (last track -- originally a vagua (my progressive name) track) to 140. is more groovy and softer than encepfalophagus. Strange atmosphere, not night-not morning...

btw thanks for the nice words!!!!

Headstick is starting up now, so if any of u up for sending some promos for future releases, just drop us a line at headstick@joystickmusic.com

cheers,
Chris

there was a talk with lemon 8, but we are gonna be doing more minimal stuff after all, first release is mv envy (yoshitoshi, global underground, saw (satoshi tommiie's label) from canada. then there will be two cd's -- one showcasing greek artists from around the world, and the second remixes on mv from more or less the same acts as on the first cd, then a Tone Depth aka the Greek (global underground, yoshitoshi), and then various other stuff.

is hard to find nice quality music, with that bit of a difference for progressive as well. we are more into the more minimal tech/house sound as opposed to the very sort of "euro trance" stuff some progressive house really has a tension to.

basically what we're looking to do does not really differ from some of the more minimal progressive trance stuff, apart from the fact it's slower (120-130)
