download this ensemble for Reaktor: http://www.native-instruments.com/en/community/reaktor-user-library/entry/show/6673/

Was at Audioform's studio last night, he bought Reaktor (full version) for 99€ on NI's offers. We used this ensemble, and I programmed it just like I program my hardware NL1 in my studio. It sounds the same, only cleaner (it is a NL 2X emulation after all).
Its also light on the CPU. I would not look further for a NL 2X emulation....that thing is spot on!

I used it a lot, programmed the same ripping FM patches I have on my hardware NL1 and it sounded spot on, just less gritty, more clean, less aliasing as well. And we saved the whole channel strip setting with the EQs, comps, delays, the works.

I mean I think I am pretty anal when it comes to software emulating hardware...but having a Nord Lead 2X plug in that has that Nord FM sound, loaded in Maschine with knobs mapped, is very convenient, especially for live sets!

@PoM: I don't have Reaktor on my mac. Waiting for another offer and then I'll buy it.

compare to my nord rack 2x indeed with this ensembe you can get great sounds of it. in the end this enseble it is much better from many other commercial vsts out there that want to emulate the nord lead sound.

its a crime if someone missed the 100 euro deal of reaktor really...           ...into the wild....

nice one guys i didn t know it s that close ! but yeah i remember when using nord 2 and virus reaktor was kinda similar for many leads..but it was a cpu hog at that time with the old cpus

it s one of the best options to get old va sound caractere...and analog now it seems too.. as many rate monark as one of the best analog emulation to date with tal 101

also dont forget reaktor fxs at 99 it s bargain !! there is great delays ,verbs.. and strange stuff for mangling ect..

He downloaded this ensemble as well. Have not touched it yet, so I can't comment on the sound of it.

lot of the ensemble sound kinda similar with more or less same caractere , as lot of the builder use the bundled core and macro coming with reaktor.
ni and twisted tools for fx/manglers often push things further with their ensemble i would check all of them..lot of great stuff in the library too ..
i love prism ,spark to make crazy sound..and twisted tools

hm. been trying this out for a couple of hours yesterday and today and idk if I'm stupid or I have a bad version or what but I can't get this to sound decent.

the filter doesn't act like I think it should....like for instance if I crank the resonance it has a very limited range and is silent for a good portion of the knob, the FM doesn't seem to have a good sweet spot even after trying pretty much all the carrier/modulator combinations I could think of...just sounds grainy and shitty, can't get a good ripping sound out of it.

Even after reading the manual all the way through and reinstalling a different version of reaktor...idk. I was really looking forward to this as I've never actually used a nord lead but have always heard great things.

aaaaand as an extra bonus I can't get the MIDI to work with it and ableton.

I feel like I must be doing something wrong :\            If you want to make an apple pie from scratch...you must first invent the universe

there is probably lot of artifacts, aliasing..that part of some old vas synth sound..dunno if it s close but reaktor sound in similar league than old nord or virus for fm to me...just slighty different caractere but not better or worse...

(talking about synth that use stock macro ect..something like monark have way less artifacts )

wonder if u dont have a bad version though..fm should have plenty of sweet spot..hmm will try it and check
