well i wasn't expecting you guys to cover everything up cause is really impossible but this is going well...
but i doesn't really help when you say "portishead - all" for example. if portishead is so good then tell me their best album, the list is too big as it is
so....i got some listening to do now
thanks for those so far
gilad

Hi Gilad,

Start with (Portishead) their second album called Dummy. Absolutely A MUST one. Next

I will give you my recommendations later. It will take me long to write and I don't have the power now.

In addition to all that was previously mentioned (don't miss the K&D Session, Thievery Corp. Gottan, Massive Attack), i also recommend the "Back to Mine" series.

Warp rec. almost all the stuff has its moments... also I would like to recomend you to pay attention to Ninja Tune label... I think those two are having pretty wide range of downtempo, breaks and experimental music to fit your needs well.

Warp and Ninja are the gold mines of the eletronica !!

Squarepusher
Boards of Canada
Richard James AKA Aphex Twin
Prefuse 73
Autechre
Amon Tobin
