Release information:
"HYDRO GENERATOR", a project by DJ TORU who has track contributed to the compilation "ZOO-B 3 - Psypolitical" on a well-known Israel label USTA (which is) supervised by DJ ZOO-B, joined on the compilation "After 10 Years of Japanese Trance", is fully prepared to (finally) drop the debut album "Lucid Dream".
Japanese Psychedelic・Goa trance now celebrate 10th anniversary of it's birth, and today's trance music scene in Japan has grown up enough. As it's growth, the scene has become full of stereotyped trance music, but, there are young creators who present their unique and original style. Certainly, HYDRO GENERATOR is the one of these new age.
HYDRO GENERATOR officially started creating music since 2002, he appeared to the party organized by "NEW WORLD" held in Osaka in February 2003, since then he has been performing at live nationwide, from north to south, from Hokkaido to Okinawa. His plentiful experience by doing live performance is reflected on the image of his music, also his experience by performing with various artists made evolved their music and programming skill .
With his characteristic of sensitive and clear melody, and fascinating groove, HYDRO GENERATOR music is spinning by hot DJs in the world. With the sound, named "Oriental Rising Star", is spinning on hyper morning full on tracks, he is promising new comer for great future. Looking for the strong and comfortable sound which apeals to listeners' heart, and groping for another possibility of trance music, HYDRO GENERATOR will drop a long-awaited debut album "Lucid Dream".

Killer Album. I was lucky enough to hear the tracks before the album is released ... and I can tell you that Hydrogenerator is very different than what we are used to in the japanese scene. His music is very mature and very smart. With great experience he increased the level of use of the sound scape to create a beautiful strong psychedelic field that will wipe out your neurones ... Defenitely worse a listen ... I believe he has a bright future ahead ... with lot's of booking already ... If you are overseas and organising parties, defenitely get him before the others do !!! If you are not an organiser, and if you can not come to his amazing live, then I guess the album will be a good addition to your collection for mxing it with you latest tracks selection !!! Keep your hears open and your neurones ready !!! |

I've been listening to the demo CD of this. That is 4 minute portions of all the tracks except for 1 which is the full track.
What can I say.... It's frickin good!!!
When I started listening to it I wasn't sure what CD I put in my discman. I was grooving along thinking about my set that weekend. I was thinking to myself, yeah, alright, I'll play this track and ummm that too, maybe even start the set with track 3... but why do all these songs fade out and not end properly...DOH... its a demo CD!!!
I think this is a break through album for Hydro Generator and possibly Japanese Psy. More so than Phi last year. Great pumping basslines and psychedelik riffs / melodies. Quality is top notch, honestly couldn't tell the difference between this and the named artists I also listen to.
Thank you ELF Music for another great release and big step towards making Japanese Trance known again around the world.
All the best to Hydro Generator - keep producing great trax. I really think you're on the verge of breaking through, you've got all the elements and a great sound. I hope you will be able to play at one of my events very soon.

yeah..HydroGenerator is one of the most tolented japanese artist.Hydro's sound is like the collabioration between classical goa essence and new generated sounds..killa one Hiroki kun!
ELF is the one of key in japanese trance secene for sure.
