this album has nothing in common with gms and so on .... that s not because u have a rolling bassline that it is a gms clone , try to listen to the music and not only the stereotypes in your head
listen to track1 , numbers : alien project like???

you cant argue with the fact that these guys have a lot of talent in sound programming, Synth's and Modulators . these guys are PRO, not some average baverage (10x atmos) you see every day "emerging" from the underground.
this CD represents the changes that trance is having, i guess trance had changed over the last decade and the "mother" had given birth to 1000 more puppys- all styles are welcomed, its originality that sells cd's not mainstream.
anyway this is my 1st (or 2nd) post here . so dont flame the flamer.
as an artist in the scene since age 16 i think i have a relatively large understanding of this sub-culture and i think i can only gain from this forum .
peace and love from israel.

The truth is that Cryptic Crunch is not Hux Flux all alone, in my opinion he has The Logic Bomb guys to thank for that unique album, if im correct informed, Dennis took a holiday in goa and left the logics to play around....

The Cryptic Crunch is more Logics album than Hux Flux but the new one is all Hux Flux.

so it´s hard to compare these two albums, but hux flux still has his own hux sound =)
and logic knows Dennis very well and showed respect for his sound when they worked on Cryptic crunch...

all and all it´s from the bong

Triptocoma has a good point. Jonas Pettersson did a lot of work on Cryptic Crunch.. and this can be easily recognised... with some Logic sounds all over the place... wish they would collaborate again... would be interesting to hear...           How am I supposed to hallucinate with all these swirling colors distracting me!

i was quite disapointed with this album..

there are some nice tracks.. but nothing dancefloorish.. not even for the mornings.. (IMO)

the only track i really liked was the #8.. and the fucken kick changes places, which makes this track impossible to mix for more than a minute. (instant offbeats occure when they change the basslines structure..)

This is the exact opposite of what I heard. I heard Denis taught the Logic guys how to make music. That is why Logic's 1st album had the Hux Flux touch.

Only Denis and the Logic guys know the truth what the truth is. Doesn't really matter at this point, anyway.
