I see your point Martinlivet and I agree most of your comments. The thing is, we are openminded people. Not everyone will agree with you and they have freedom to practice their spirituality any way they want. Of course I would not want dead animals being displayed and put into peoples faces but only thing to do in a festival like dis is to offer a variety of food including vegan/vegetarian and other choices.
peace to all.

No offence, but thats just a plain unintelligent answer. (a apple "wants" to be eaten, thats its purpose, to spread the seads, a fish swims away, any animal will try its best to)
Why not make conscious choises to reduce suffering? If u are not loving u are NOT spiritiual in any sense of the word,. And thats ok. Everything is ok. But calling a festival spiritual and sell the bodies of murdered animals is not sensible or coherent at all.
(To call it some pagan/hedonistic gathering or something would maby)

well 1st i'm going 2 try my best .... bubble said and i quote [we would like to make Ozora a truly spiritual gathering] and u said [but calling a festival spiritual] .... hmmmmm .... 2nd and about spreading the seeds is there somebody that can prove that plants and family can not feel pain or even love while they "want" 2 b eaten? ..... as 3rd i think i get the point, it's a question of intelligence or not? there r the animals who think, the ones that dont' and the rest dont' do both things .... and only the ones who think can b (or not) able 2 love, there4 can follow a spiritual path, is that? .... hmmmm ..... 2 finish allow me 2 tell u that 4 me everything is not ok, which is not ok. no offence

Martin: I know.. just trying to influence the world. Lots of trancefestivals (almost) only sell vegofood. Dont see why Ozora, wich in almost every other way is more "spiritual" could have the same philosophy.
Of course nobody could or should be someone they are not.. and i wouldnt want them: If its your will to eat meat, do it. There is nothing that is wrong in life. There is onli consequence΄s to our actions, and they all come back 2 u... But i still feel it could be a philosopy of a festival like this to promote a loving lifestyle,...
And what really get my debate juices flowing was the fact that they did have a big ribcage on diplay there, and the vego alternatives was outnumberd totaly, plus the fact that this festival has the outspoken ambition to be "spiritual".. And for me if u call somthing "spiritiual" and its not about love 4 all.. Then its just hypocrisy.

Martin: You cant prove anything to a barnyard door.. ;-) But hey, anyone with just normal intelligens and an uncorrupted healty tought pattern can beyond any doubt see that animals has a consious will to live like we do. And are wery much alike: have face,. eyes.. mouth, nervous system. They will conciously fight for there life if u try to hurt them in any way. Plants can be argued to have some type of trace or hint of a waken counciosness, probably they can have som vague impression of pleasure and discomfort. (Tough not att all like when we have a hint of something, couse we have all our feelings and intelligence to make something more of that vague impression.) Plants dont have this awaken conscious ability to percive life.
Also many plants are designed to be eaten; they are tasty and smell and look good, and they do spread there seeds and survive this way. The dont have any defences to run away or awoid this fate and actually you can call it their, will, or even better, purpouse, to bee eaten.
We need to eat. Perfect is not an option. But reducing suffering is. (Also there is alot of purely egoistic reasons for not putting cadaver in your body)
But hey this is not a place and time for this debate. Im dont question your right to choose to eat meat. I΄m just voicing an opinion about how great a festival like this can bee made. And im sure it would have a even greater blessing from the universe if it also raised awareness and promoted a loving lifestile like this.
When i say everything is ok i mean that there is really (absolutely speaking) no right and wrong in life. Eating meat is not wrong. But it has (like everything) its consequence΄s.. And everything comes back to you,. all u do.. And if we all want to live in light and peace, we all need to walk this way..
Peace bro. Hope you understand me now. |

MARTIN LIVET SAID :am chilled out.
And i do see your point.
But naturepeople didnt have any choice but to eat animals,.. we do. And for me, a spiritual celebration is not spiritual is not if its not about love. And if its about love we should not be racist and eat our less intelligent but equally valuable fellow earthlings. (who are really the same as us, as we were long time ago)
---------------------------------------
I understand your sentiment, but you are infact incorrect, "nature people" did have choice, and could cultivate vegetables all year round. It has been the choice of humans throughout history to eat meat, as well as it is the choice of 'some' animals to eat other animals, indeed you protest that animals have a consciousness and thus should not be eaten, however, why does their consciousness not inspire them to abstain from eating other animals? It is personal preference ultimately, organisers can try and make it a spirital gathering, but as another poster commented if your personal preference is to eat meat, then the absence of meat products could detract from their experience- couldnt it? why not provide people with a range of products and let individuals decide? That sounds more like the freedom of choice educated and democratic people should expect, disallowing a product that many people may desire sounds rather controlling, dont you think?
Anyway theres my input, ill be going ozora, was awesome last year, will camp on the hill this time tho, flooding was amazingly dramatic, but id rather sleep in the dry this year!!
Take care all |

Then just reapeat the following steps which will first guide you through Győr . plan your route with http://www.viamichelin.com (destination should be Simontornya)

Martin: Tanks for your reply metro_gnome... Im not sure tough you see my point scince it is these more or less, non important, side aspects you focus on in your reply. My point dont stand or fall at all with these historic aspects of this matter. (one can argue that human beings has always raped and murdered,.. shouldnt we quit this anyway?) Also, i do think most naturepeople in the past has been hunters and gatherers. Agriculture came later im sure. And even if they did grow vegetables i find it hard to se that there were sufficient scources of protein other than animal.
As you also reason about the animals: In the animal kingdom its a necessary aspect of life to eat eachother. A tiger MUST eat meet. Egoistic behavior is not bad, immoral or so in anyway in the animalkingdom scince it is just the way everyone survives. Instinct of self-preservation is also a part and still somewhat necessary in our world. Tough it is not the only principle that we base our life on.
We also have the oposite, the compassionate, the gifts of love and putting your fellow beings happines as something that matters to you. We have come a long way scince when the right of the strongest was all there was. (Even tough we still se alot of darkness in todays world.) Scince we are these dual beeings,.. both egoistic and loving (we can call it both animal and human)we see a clash between theese totaly opposite ways of life. And for us not belonging either in the purely animal kingdon or the purely human (and therefore based on love) things is always about learning from the returning results of our choises.
What im getting at is we all come from a instinct, animal, egoistic zone of existence.. some of us more then other still belong. This is not wrong. Tough its not our future, it is not the road to togetherness with the "world spirit" (which is pure love for all), not the road to lasting happines and light and therefore NOT spiritual in ANY sense of the word.
With hope for a brighter world and future for us all!
Peace |
