A bizzare and dark opening which opens us to Hujaboy's demented world,and it is a crazy world indeed.
a nice intro with a very twisted ending.
[u]2.THE DAY[/u]
If Skazi is a storm,
then this is a tornado from hell. this is one for the german-lovers,
the most heavy of them all in Hujajoy,
this is how the apocalipse will sound like.
[u]3.FLYING SORCERER[/u]
This groove based track is quite pleasent to the ear with a very fat kick and bass,
that reminds me of the old Planet B.E.N sound.
Groovy and atmospheric.
[u]4.NEMESIS[/u]
Hot dancefloor material with a strange irish sample thrown in for good measure.
one of the hits of the album,
and quite full-on next to the other tunes.
[u]5.SHABA RAIN[/u]
A favorite,this track dosen't have a lot in it yet it is a dancefloor romper stomper all the way.
one of the more minimal trax in the album,
it has great percussion and groove work and really shows the Huja style at it's best.
[u]6.FRESH AIR[/u]
This one has a very melancholic atmosphere,
it's stands in one place until the snares come marching in and take it forward to a very trippy place.
excellent.
[u]7.COUNTING SPIRALS[/u]
This track needs no introduction as it was one of the best in ISRALIENS 3.
this is the most full-on track in the album yet it still keeps a dark and non-compromising atmosphere.
[u]8.SAVE ASS[/u]
Another melancholic one,
a dark and groovy beat that leads us to the conclusion of the album.
[u]9.THE PEOPLE VS. HUJABOY[/u]
The ending of the album is actually a story
which leads us to the final (bonus) track -
[u]10.BONUS MULTIMEDIA TRACK -[/u]
The Poeple Vs. HujaBoy(TV Edit)
This is a video clip,
but erase all memories of Yahel's Intelligent Life "masterpiece",
This is one of THE BEST PSY VIDEOS EVER MADE.
no more psychedelic suns or visual twisted FX,
this project is a well-made and styled story,
which closes the album perfectly.
In conclusion,
The best israely release so far this year,
and a real contender to the best international release of 2002!
This debut album is a whole creation,
it's full of originality and unique style,
with a very cool cover wrapping it all up.

I heard NEMSIS at a party i was spinning at it was damn good material. I WWWAAAAANNNNTTTT this album. Should be coming out soon no? As soon as i get my hands on this i will be spinning it at my parties. HUJABOY good luck. You should come to japan again to promote this album.
Double Dragon was playing a lot of songs from this album. i guess Huja already has some people promoting it. |
