when you make your first album and your trade sell is milions of copies around the world,and when your email msn and mobile phone be on fire when organisers search for you to close you for a night dj set or live,hehe then you will be sure for your succes as an expert psytrancer

You become a good psytrance listener when you can have your own unbiased opinion about a psytrance track independently of who did the track.
Expert is the next level, when you realise music genres, subgenres, unreleased tracks, big line ups, fame and contacts have nothing to do with psychedelics...
You will also realise that psychedelics hava nothing to do with expertise, then you will feel a little shame if anyone call you an expert.

Well, traveller, this is sort of offtopic, but I have to disagree with you.
I remember you did a good review of Ra Heya... Also both Hallucinogen albums definitely are full on (if we ever need to label it).
In short, stop bashing whole genres, in fact, it would be nice if you could stop bashing all psychedelic music just because there's a lot of bad and "less psychedelic" tracks being released.
If you really have a compulsive need to bash music and projects, name what you are bashing, because there is still some good tracks and projects in every style of psytrance.

That's the whole point, TrippyJohnny. Every person has his own "personal classification" on subgenres of psytrance, and this makes most attempts to rotulate music useless.
I knew some people would disagree with Hallucinogen being full on, but what would you call it? Proggy?
Ohh, I see... You'll try to be "smart" and call is just "psychedelic"...
To me there is mainly 4 styles of psy (full on, progressive, minimal and techtrance) and there is a lot of good and bad music music in all these genres.
A psytrance expert knows that he can find something good and different in all these genres, if he just take the time to listen.

when you can take the subway capture the sounds you hear and make a track in your head and then organize those sounds into a track in your studio and then release those tracks on a cd and someone else listens to it and builds a subway....then you are psy expert
