I'm sure that once they'll get home, the first thing they'll do is give us a review, right ???

Hope ppl had fun!!!!           Please REMOVE my cellphone number from any SMS spam list you may have. Thanks.

aah i see here is the voov experience topic hmm ok...

i was there and it was fine weather ... the line up (just to mention some) was : antaro , riktam&banzi, anti , mark allen , eduardo , bim, sangeet, laureth, dede, live was son kite , ticon , s-range (sorry for you guys i have not mentioned) ...there were about over 30.000 partypeople i think ... the dekoration was amazing like every year ..the market area gets bigger as every year ... the price for one ticket was 35 euro ... a lot of international partyfraggles were there like every year ... the music was very different : from 150 bpm full on - to soft and clubby proggi house ... so dont know what to tell more ...

Just got back from there and I can say that IM a happy survivor
I think that this year the VOOV was stronger than ever and also symbolized a revolutionary attitude among the average trancer
This year is the first year that the alternative tent (where they play more progressive and techy stuff) was as full as the main dancefloor and even sometime a bit more...
Does that mean that finally the people menage to open up for something that goes down from 150bpm and not so full with useless ALIEN samples?
the highlights of the VOOV in my opinion were
son kite live
ticon live
peter & adis
anti
walk among them, play their game and find out what they need to breed

i was only last year that was 10-th festival celebration year and the second floor was packed as well.. all festival long were there about 5-10 thousands ppl..
if u remember the first scando night and last sbk night (he played live and dj set) so i think voov tribe know progressive for a while already..

well it was my first VooV but I tell you I'll be there next year:)

Some highlights that pop into my head: Antaro opened the main stage... there was a slow thumping heartbeat which got imperceptibly faster over the course of 10 minutes then fireworks, people twirling fire, then the music kicked off. Antaro's set was superb, as was the GMS Dj set (some from No Rules of course...)

Also the end of the main stage was great (I attempted some sleep but failed so returned to the main stage). For about the last hour everyone (antaro, mark bell, anti, joti...) came back on and played back-to-back ending with GMS again. It was BAKING but they were spraying water from high pressure hoses which was welcome refreshment (for me anyway).

Other things I enjoyed were Ticon live (mammoth hunters especially, but the whole set was absolutely superb), and Sabaii Sabaii's set on the
alternative stage (Thai DJ I hadnt heard of before). He played a real crowd pleasing set (I.E I knew almost all the tunes) and I totally flipped out when the Deedrah remix of Lepton head was played... maybe 3 Skazi tunes was a little excessive though (the element, gtr and stealing my memories IIRC). But I also have a weakness for Psyside's Krust Burger with Cheese, Neuromotor's Fuck the DAT mafia, etc, etc. So you see what I mean: he played all my fave tunes:)

In fact Sunday evening was really good in general, but I was so totally exhausted by that stage that I faded out by about 3 or 4. Stella Nutella followed Sabaii and mixed in a lot of house influences which was a nice change of pace (but not really my taste).

Sorry for going on... but it was my first VooV like I said, and probably the most intense weekend of my life so far hehe:)

I got back from Voov on Wednesday and after last year it was a serious challenge to live up to it. But it did and it did very very well.
IMO the saturday line up was bettter than last year....
30,000 is a serious over-exaggeration of the numbers, i think 10,000 absolute tops.

But the highlight for me was Mark Allen by a country mile, maybe it was my mistake to discount the man but a four hour set in 30 degree baking heat and they just kept on coming, funky trance gems keeping the people pumping after Antaro, GMS, Joti and Anti had played.....set of the party.

VOR and MACK also did some good things, S-range were great on live performance although for me I would have liked to hear maybe one song from 2001, but all were new and good.

The Unusual Suspects album was heavily caned on saturday night, every dj playing at least one from the album, which just shows how GOOD this album is.

Other than that the location that they use still has problems for the ambient area, which was under populated, but the food was fantastic and cheap, the lake was a life saver for swimming and cooling off on monday.

10 out of 10, the best festival for the money paid in Europe, year after year after year.....           live life; be free

Oh so something I forgot: the only bad piece of organisation was with respect to the water. Pretty much the only water you could buy was carbonated! And in large bottles that didnt fit into your pocket! Not exactly dance music friendly. Eventually I located a tap to fill my treasured small bottle with tap-water, but it was a long walk from both stages.

Is this the usual situation at festivals? I am a bit of a novice really.

Everything else was amazing about the weekend... I was just surprised at the water situation so thought I'd mention it. Of course it was especially important because of the searing heat.

i think the sparkling water ( ) situation is down to the local Putlitz supply. we drove to the local shop and they had 10 (count them) different types of water - all carbonated! can you believe it!

the tap water was totally drinkable though..
