How was the Gil party in Humboldt?

For the record....
Goa Gil Memorial Meltdown 2008 was *THE* most magical, transformative, healing, beautiful, concious, psychedelic experience of my life~!
I have never felt as much love and community as I did on the dancefloor on Sunday morning.
And although the weather was pretty nasty Thur/Fri/ and some of Saturday...by nighttime the little bits of rain dried up, and Sunday came to reveal a beautiful, sunny, and relatively warm day.
I personally do not have any complaints about the sound....and I was dancing *really* close next to the speakers. That was during the day though, so I Cant speak as to the sound quality at night. There was also a slightly different speaker set up than usual...the four corner sound...which I actually really enjoyed.
The only downside of the party for me was that I did not take a single picture!!! Did anyone take any pics of the shrines? |

Also,
Sound is a major issue. Do you think it was the speakers or improper calibration?

i'd say both. Those speakers spat out a very metalic sound, and the quad setup needs to be set up perfectly to work for psytrance, mainly you need a system that is capable of doing that, and a very big area for it to work well, both of these conditions weren't met.
on the other hand people were eating up the speakers like animals, so it is just my own sensitive ear that had a problem
