Thanks man the bazille one i was really happy with, but I still can't make the traditonal sounding ones, just dont have enough character for me.

maybe try in zebra if u didn t get the caractere you are after, highs dont really sound lush and sometimes it s good for that kind of sound imo to have a kind of "oldschool " digital caractere caused by artifacts on tops
vanguard could do the trick too i think , it sure have been a lot used for these sounds in the past, you can do with all synths but some have more lush or dirty caractere
these 2 sound more like strangling a cat to me while stuff like bazille and massive may be more hifi sounding wihtout doing anyhting special |

the king of these sound might be the nord modular and L1 and 2.. maybe give a try to the free synth 1
with the nord you can do directly by tweaking with the hand the pitch knob that have a very big range ..then with fitler and a few modulation you get all sort of farts
imo if u want the more control ,you can try to do with automation for the perfect squeclh and make it evoluate at each note the way you want it, by using a saw automate the pitch and a hp or bp filter ..then you can add unisson maybe distortion or other stuff depending sound after..
with flexible automation you should be abble to make the curve more intresting and / or perfectly right while it might be a pain depending the synths using envelops and lfo modulation ot get perfect curves and timing for the desired sound
edit : tried synth 1 and it s good for this imo , might depend taste.. |

Thanks for your thoughts POM, I havent experimented doing it manually with automation but good shout, got a pretty good squelch out of cubase's retrologue will post tomorrow.
