what's the best way to make a huge psy party?
can somebody help me.. if you're interested give me your opinion. |

I think the best way is:
1 - Find some good, but unknown DJs (no Live Acts allowed), a modest sound system and a good spot in nature.
2 - Invite friends to have fun while fixing the place, placing the decoration (and even creating de decoration), adding enough trash cans, making sure there will be enough water (for free), etc...
3 - Invite to the party people you know will be there to have fun while respecting other persons there and helping them to have the same.
Easy, no?

find girls who will dance ( sad but true)  sex always sells but that goes too much into commercial stuff 
I ditto full_on because it's not about how big the party is it's about the time spent having fun on it ;-) and it takes time until the parties get big enough or until the people you know are hooked on intellegent electronic music ;-)

big? As in 20-50 people. Or BIG as in 100-500 people?
.. Just do it. You need.
1. Good music and some speakers ect to push the sound out
2. Good people
3. Good location in the wild
4. Good drugs
5. Smile on your face

i will tell you in the must detailed way: step by step:

@ step 1: - if you go proffecional, you will need cash, earn some cash, and start thinking of a potentional place for your party, the laction is the first importent step for your party..
@ step 2: - after you find a good spot in nature, make sure it's privat propety or it's no betters no one in the area, becouse HUGE psy party make a lot of noize.. if you need get a chat with someone from the "high places" to help you to have the party in the best way.. with no "mess"
@ step 3: - now it's time to think about your budget, creat good (but not too expencive) line up, made from artiest from your local country and make sure they are P&P (popular & proffetional). talk to sound equipment compeny, make sure they have good quality sound system, + 2 cdj'& mixer + generator + ultra ligth spots = in a good prices (cheak more then one to make sure)
@ step 4: - now it's promotion time, tell all your psy-friends you macking a party and you need thier help, find yourself more ppl thet promote parties from your area, use psy forums, collect phone numbers, e-mails, go to other trance party and collect and promote your self. remember: the quallity of the ppl you bring is more importent from the quantity!!! with time more and more will know you and your parties, but in the first one don't think too big!
@ step 5: - now take care of deco, made your own or take proffetional artiest that make your deco.. it's very good for the party vibs.. and also think about your prodction name and LOGO, for the invantcion and the flyers, remember - the prod = is you, the logo = the prod simbole..
@ step 6: - cheak for dates to the party, if you have other party arownd try to coaperate and help, not to figth on one, when you good to others, others are good to you.. it's worth it!!
after you have a good date (national holiday or weekend) it's time to move things on, telephone, promotion, final closing
@ step 7: - the day of the party arrives, don't forget to bring a list of things you need, shaded dance floor is a MUST, wather, bar, deco, selling tickets, counter, and mobile phone (u will need!!)
leave your maggese "how to get to the party" on the voice-phone, and call your friends to help you with the organizing the lactions..
and good luck, you have a party!!!!

This is where I totally disagree with you. This is the neverending boring forumlar that is so overused in our MTV scene with the same predictable "popular" names as usual.
My advice is to go for the surprises and have some vision and less "bling bling" artist.
Do it different and I promise you will earn the respect and see how people actually appriciate something different. Do it the same way as everybody else that does not dare to fall outside the MTV formular and it will be a ok Festival. But nothing more. |

There is no need to get upset. I merely disagreed with you. Yes i get you but let us be real for a moment. Popular these days most of the time mean "Big" names and not the experimental visionary artists.
It would be nice to see more organisers who think different and are willing to book the many talented undergound artists and DJ's our scene have. Those who never get a break because the Big and not nessesary very talented names use all the budget. |
