You're in a nice ride, i guess it happened to alot of people overhere to start mixing sound with images when on a voyage , translate that feeling into music won't be easy and it may take a lifetime experimenting, my sequence is only based on the Tool video cos i liked the phrasing and tought it would be nice to use the structure.

here's one for now. I'm not leaving for a bit. It's not the best example but one that I can think of right now. Listen to the detuned organ plucking sound loop in time with the main synth. and then the beat as a whole.

thank you for being you and honest. you came in a crazy way but had a legitimate reason and a very valid and cool idea or approach. still some stuff is questionable but at least your willing to discuss and see it through .
I will be honest and say that I still kinda feel like I'm being brainPhuck sideways and I'm just waiting for some nigga name jimmy to hand me some KooLaid

I must say i thought you were trolling when you posted Randomness on the production and music making forum.Now it's become clearer what your intentions were.
Sorry if i sounded like a dick back there but reading more of your theory etc i can relate to your experience in some sort of way.
You see i have this thing called Synesthesia, i have only become fully aware of it since i started producing music and when i hear different sound or it could be notes or whatever i associate it different colors, i can't turn this off either so automatically when i hear a synth patch or a note being played in another cases its already associated with a color in my brain thats how i perceive it.
like for example the B key tone sound like orange to me or the "texture" of a sound like a piano is yellow and when i hear a bassline depending on the patch/notes is usually brown.
Sorry to hijack but you have some wild ideas which might work in music. It will take a lot of hard work to make something coherent enough not to detract the listener, but this is what this site is about.
whip up a little tune a few minutes long so we get an idea what you are talking about and people can form a judgement and maybe help achieve it.

Synesthesia ... yes what I think your seeing is the sound ... the actual sound not a internal brain confusion like doc says .. sorry I think doc is wrong
Other use fibonacci in their music and just don't tell you so theirs alway sounds better
When listening to any music because fibonicci IS the method behind the audible (how non audible freqs interact to create audible)
You actual see the trasfer of light that's making the sound ... you SEE if slightly first because the light travels faster ... I see it to but every one else it's a hallucination but it's just us evolving and alowwing use to process more freqs are a result of trip

dude you have no idea how ironic and weird it is that you play that song......
my personal trip story.......it was dec 31st 1997 and I was in the first hour and a half (of what ended up being 2 days) of my first candy flip and Crystal Method had the mid night slot. I didn't really no who was on stage or what time it was and I was trying to think somehow (I was in a sea of people in the front) then some dude from behind me put two big balloons over my ears and moved them off and on one by one back and forth then the music build up energy was like CRAZY intense and everyone started to count 10,9,8,7 and right on new years they played the sample and the the place just went BONKERS!!!!! it was such a crazy moment. every time I hear that song it brings me back, i get tingles (did i just say tingle lol) so yeah I followed my right hand for the next 6 hours then ran into my friend and when I spoke my voice had changed really weird and everyone was looking at me funny so I was scared to go home because I wouldn't be able to talk and I was still trippin like crazy, so we went to the beach and I stayed there for hours until i sounded simi-normal then went home and tripped in my room, it wouldn't go away I fell asleep and woke up tripping until the next night when i woke up on the 3rd.
oh yeah side note and a whole story of it's own before we went to the beach (after the party) we went to denny's and there was a fight between two hookers it was HAHAHalarious

Ok, i've only read the first page... can't be bothered reading really long posts...
I think the idea of fitting the Fibonacci sequence to music only really applies to types of music where you can change time signatures on the fly. Tool used it in lots of music, but only as experiments. most songs just roll with 4/4. Electronic music (at least electronic Dance music) will almost always use a fixed 4/4 to accomodate the kicks. Of course, you can do some idm if u want, but you might as well focus on the complex beats of it. and really, most of it is pretty simple once u apply some logic to it, it's not some esoteric philosophy. if you wanna apply it, go ahead, stop researching and start doing..
