Has anyone here seen a recent Koxbox live set? What direction are they moving in? Morning style? Night style? Full-on? Minimal? What?

This is one of my all time favourite acts, and I need to know what's up.

So can anyone give some opinions about Koxbox's future ect..

Thanks

Didn't they split up? It's frank-e alone these days..           "The dinosaurs became extinct because they didn't have a space program."

I saw koxbox live this winter. yes it was only frank e but he did an awasome live set and he also went on to dj. It was just pounding psychedelic trance. and it was some of the best psychedelia I heard in a long time.           `Bottomless wonders spring from simple rules, which are repeated without end` Mandelbrot

I saw them (well him) doing live @ Transit and I must say I wasn't too impressed.. "just pounding"           "The dinosaurs became extinct because they didn't have a space program."

Good question, I'm planning to see him this year.
What should I expect? Did he played stuff on "The Great Unknow"?

Every time I have seen KoxBox live, I have liked the music but found them waaaayyyy too loud and usualy too much bass. At the 2nd Samothraki festival, the sound level was just completely ridiculous and very painfull (untill I put my ear plugs in).

The last Koxbox tune on Gran Turismo kicks some major ass. And the Saikopod remixes was great progressive album. So i'm optimistic about those guys.           Everyone in the world is doing something without me

its one guy only indeed...saw him last autumn around here. it kicked ass...i'm waiting for more koxbox material. its one of my favourite acts. psychedelic stuff indeed!

to full_on: no he didnt play any material from the great unknown. actually, i didnt know any of the stuff he played, but i wasnt really sober so maybe i'm all wrong it was pretty hard and dusty psychedelia, pretty groovy...harder than i expected...he also played a dj, which was even harder

We ll see at New Era Festival , if it's not a fake festival... I think they changed their sounds , not so much rythmics/groove as before....But i m so curious to hear their new stuff , pionneer of originality on psytrance....

Saw Frank E playing at Transit festival last year, it wasnt a live but just a dj set. I was expecting something like 'The great unknown' ablum but instead got something totally different and far from being anything like that old stuff. IMO I was very disappointed overall with his performance. hope he has now got some new cool material, because it is one of my favorite all time projects.           "Great things are only possible with outrageous requests." I'd call it techtrance... but not the stompy kind. Jumpy, high-energy, still psychedelic, with that nice mix of funk and synthetic that is conceivably the band's trademark. Still very unique and enjoyable!

i can tell you that koxbox is only frank e now and ian is doing saikopod on his own and it has been like that since dec 2003

frank e play'd both dj and live here in dk on the 1 april

he's dj set was very tech trance style and the live set was very dark and powerfull (alot of new stuff from the forth coming album)

i think to expect the great unknow style in a koxbox set is not really something that happens alot since The Great unknown was surpose to be released as a saikopod album and not as a koxbox album but they where forced to released it as koxbox due to label difficulties

I saw a dj set of Frank E back on 26th March here in Ibiza. It was hypnotic music, some minimal/full on psy.
