how old is shpongle

Hi, i visited shpongles webside and i saw that shpongle is a very old man, i think 60 or 65 years. But how this man can make tihs music, he looks so old that he canīt use synthesizers. visit himīs site and see, and is simom posford shpongles san? |

you mean raja ram not shpongle..
shpongle is raja ram with simon posford
and he can do more than use synths, thats for sure.
he can dance more than you i think.
oh and simon isnt his son

I think Raja Ram is an amzing man, to be that age and be able to do what he is... I mean, by that age your hearing is pretty much fucked because hearing degenerates with age, his body is very old and he is still able to dj and play in groups (and his dj live is great no matter what you say the energy is amazing!!)... a true credit to the saying you re only as old as you think you are. |

@Andrey ok he is old, but he has money from the projects like shpongle or raja rams stash bag. Why he donīt make a facelifting or colorate his hair. For us fans raja ram is great but if anybody who donīt know about him and go to his party he gets scared. I think he can make things to look younger |

Melbourne born and bred, Raja Ram left Australia in the 50s to begin the hippie trail. He returned to study flute at the Melbourne conservatory , and then went to New york in 1965 to study jazz and improvisation.
In the late 60s in London's Notting Hill Gate he formed Quintessence , a jazz fusion indian rock band which went on great success with 5 albums and over 400 live performances.
However in the early 70s due to personal reasons , retired to become an envelope salesman.
In the early 80s with the advent of synthesizers Raja Ram was inspired to return to performing. A trip to Goa in 88 coupled with the acid house summer of love in England revealed to him a new genre ; The electronic world of psychedelic music. He worked for many years with Graham wood under the name The infinity project, producing seminal tracks such as stimuli .In 1994 Raja Ram had the brainwave to create TIP records, now known as TIP world. |

if you think raja is too old, so wait until you see who's chicago or brahma from tIP.... those doode have way more energy that a lot of us.
