i bought 2 rolled fiber glass 220 mm x210 cm x120 cm 35 density .
i put them in 2 big garbage bag by traps, one on top one down tied with a string to be sure i don t breaht fiber in the studio (got lucky my big garbage bag had perfect diameter), fabric on top , perfect cylindric bass traps that don t need fixing on walls ,around 60 cm diamter for 70 euros. they absorb lower than 60/50 hz as it fixed a dip i have around here.

dunno if it s a good way to make them but i don t see why it would be less effesticve than superchunk .

not sure it s understable with my english lol with rolled fiberglass i mean stuff like this but with no kraft, just fiberglass , i removed the plastic cause it compress the fiberglass, i put in bags and cover with fabric to look good. it work better than my 10 cm thick traps i replaced, no comparaison .

what do you think about the ratio 35 density for 60 cm tickness? should be great?

yep just for 2 there is already a hearable improvment in the bass,it s not that subblte to me but haven t mixed yet... it s more clean and tight.

i need to make a few more ,i think when i have at least 6 in total it will really improve the low end sound maybe to the point it will almost feel like i have new monitors on stereoid under 100hz.
my 10 cm thick broadband are clearly not good used as basstraps in corners, it helped a little but these will really help, 60 thickness with some air in the middle and the walls angles vs 10 cm i expect a great sound when i have more

bro about the density the more thcik the lighter is the best from what i have read on the net but for some exact value i have no clue, also rockwhool and fiber glass density is different.
correct me if i m wrong but i think 35/40 for fiberglass and around 50 for rockwhool are safe for large traps , maybe a bit more don t know..

i mixed a little yesterays but improvment is not as big as i was hoping ,i added 2 more this afteroon i hope it will be nice.
sound is different, i wouldnt mix without these now but for someone that expect night and day it could be a disapointement if he didn t add enought traps (need at least 2 by corner to cover from the ground to ceiling and at least treat the 4 corners of the room).

btw i think the size i posted above are wrong ,i used 120 cm X 220 mm but it s seems longer than 2 meters rolled

when i ll make the next ones i will post pictures of the construction but at the end it just look like a cylindric bass trap, how look it good depend of the fabric used , if it fall naturaly.

first i m gonna ask in a acoustic forum if i m not loosing my money doing this but i doubt it , it s like making a trap with 220 mm thick fiberglass stacked pannels but in this case it s cylindric.
avantage is it don't need any fixing on walls it s solid you can put 2 on top of each other and it s easy to move everywhere you want in the room..
what i don t like it s put plastic bag, maybe i will redo them with just fabrics but i m a bit paranoiac with fiberglass and stuff like this for health.

also have to check if fiberglass with kraft could give more absorbtion in the low,i think some pro that sell bass traps use this to get mroe absorbtion at some frequency, bass traps with membrane.. have to check.

i listened some music i know very well yesterday, it improved the sound , it s a bit more clean tight and linear, it sound dry in the low mids and bass but i need more bass traps for sure..

after a bit more time i can say just 4 made a nice improvment already, i can hear distortion in the low end of some tunes that i could spot only with good headphone for example.
dunno why but my adam p22 remind me a lot of the bm6a now in term of dryness, the sound if fuking dry and tight in mids and low, really nice... from my experience the adam are really hard to place well and befenit a lot from room treatment, it confirm it . first time i like their low end like this for fast transient heavy stuff

the room not finished yet it s a total mess here.. the traps are huge and solid , this one not look that great cause the fabric is too heavy,i have some other with very smooth/light red fabric that look like pro bass traps . i think when i will add the ones on top so it goes from ground to ceiling the imporvment will be great.
the broadbands you can see is made with 3 flexcl 100 or 120 mm or more thickness(dont remember lol) the dragon fabric cover 2 pannels

not smooth enought , it s a fabric that dont less the light pass trought, i used it on a few broadband to not deaden the room and to be sure i don t eat fiber. it look the same as some basstraps i could have bought from a store with the other fabric, but remember it s 35 euro bass traps made in 15 minutes but what matter is the sound , for the price and time spend it s not bad

you can fix it with scracth, i will maybe do this for the next ones ,basically roll the fiberglass into the fabric a bit like a big joint and then use scracth (dont know how to say in english )
