How do you guys select a track name..Is it just something flashy that no one else has ever thought of? Or is it like a clue to the central idea of the track.

What goes on behind the scene while selecting track names?

they always begin with either
A B C...Z and or have numerics in them
some tracks are also named using Alphanumerics
the way the naming ceremony works is that usually there is this big pipe full of some funny green stuff that burns, thus releasing some fumes that make the brain go in circles or squares or combination of both while you see a triangle and suddenly it occurs to you that what hear and see have the same feeling but they seem different and then god sends his missles filled with messages and boom it explodes in your head. then you pick up what the exploding missle has left in your head and make sense out of them.then you add and filter some more...and then aha! you have discovered the perfect name for your Track 4...from that moment on the track has an idenTITY...yes and then it gives it more of a chance to survive in the world full of mesmerizing track names. remember your no one without an idenTITY.

meh... I'm doing a fuin project with an industrial metal band... we have decided to make an experiemtal electroninca/industrial 10 track album dedicated to our fav. horror movies... not sure ho we will name the tracks... but they are all instrumental and the stuff wev'e come up with is pretty cool... amazing what you can do with samples and stuff like chainsaw cutting on steel... we also have been recording lots of sound at an abbatoir, like th ebig knives tearing through the flesh and the blood pouring into the big blood pit... on top of some heavy drill n bass sounds and damn heavy detuned guitar... gives me nightmare haha

hehe well me and the guys in the metal band are all hardcore horror movies fans so we wanted sounds as real as possible, but of course you cannot cut a real person up... we thought of sampling movies, but this to me sonds tacky... so we decided to chop up animals, but did not want to hurt an animal, so the next best thing is somewhere they do it... I"m not heavily involved in th eproject much anymore... I provided the idea to my mates, then I went overseas for a year, came back and lived in another partof the country... the project is just starting now, and they are doing ll the hard work, they want me to come down and provided ideas and do some synth work as I have done some work with another fiend at uni to do a sound track like the original Nightmare on Elm Street style... but th eproject is on again off again thing... will see what I can find sample style... we even recorded my mate screaming after we hit hi foot with a hammer really hard to get the sreams more realistic haha.. ot bad about having to payfor his broken foot to be fixed *joke*

Thats the perfect way to do it.....

Seriously, i name the tracks relating to the basic idea/feel of the track

sometimes the sample is the easy way (example: sattel battle - do something with your life)
sometimes it can be like a sound (example: sattel battle - wap wap)
sometimes can be from what happened same day (example: sattel battle - 12.8 , a friend b-day date , or sattel battle - on weed , what awsome change in israel lol)
sometimes i have no idea also hehe , i try to focus my creativity in the music

it depends, sometime the track starts nameless and as it evolves it starts telling me what his name is, sometimes the idea comes to my mind before the track even exists and I create something based on the name that came to my mind, and sometimes I just name them after a certain experience I just had           Peace, Love, Light and Harmony

i mostly use motives from a book i'm reading at that time. and if i use a vocal sample (rarely), i like the name to be connected to it.           Anakoluth A Pebble in Your Eardrum's Shoe since 2001!

Depends. For my Perimeter project (dark ambient) I usually come up with the name beforehand and try to capture the atmosphere of the title in music. Sometimes I just jam and then I name the song like how I think it sounds.           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."

I always try to add some humor to a track name. Otherwise it's based on a personal experience or just my brain working overtime.
