how do you feel telling ppl out of this scene that your style is trance

When people say what music I like and I answer psy-trance? -
They always look at you with that scared dumb expression that people do when they discover something they don't understand.
Over the years, the people who liked house music and sneered at trance, I don't see so much and they now listen to pop music in their average homes.
The rest I've managed to partly brainwash to psy-trance by playing so much, plus psy-trance parties are usually the best nights out (or they've been assimilated). Now a lot my friends like psy-trance and we go on the occasional festival holiday etc. etc.
The drugs I've found are irrelevant. People in respectable positions take drugs, and high fliers in high society take designer drugs.
Saying I don't touch that crap and just get stoned has always worked for me and never usually raises an eyebrow. |

I love to listening to Psytrance music, and i'm not hiding with this. Most of my friends are ppl into Psy, but others which listen to some h-h or sth else normally thinks that Psytrance is not a music, its a noise etc...
but i dont care i will never stop listening to this music, which makes me happy:)
Concerning drugs, its private persons point of view. Some like to take xtc and shit like that (and dont induce others), and some like to take lsd or shrooms and if both know some limits i think its ok. And there are ppl who taking drugs everywhere - on trance house tech parties... at home:D
but they can be nice persons anyways...
Relationships... My girlfriend is in some other music style gusts but she understand that i love this music;) :*

Lots of people think that I'm insane anyways so the fact that I listen to some "crazy psycho techno shit" is not a surprise to anybody I even played some @ work in the office on the speakers but this didn't last long. My co-workedrs were saying that this kinda music makes you want to do drugs and it is disturbing. I also plugged my i-pod once into the phone system and played psy trance instead some kiss fm crap they had for hold music @ work. It was hillarious! Some customers were actually asking what was playing. I had a blast that day! |

anyways...its on a person 2 person basis..
although i;ve pulled a few frends into psy..thru house parties
somehow every discussion turns into a drug lords meeting..??
its not necessary 2 be drugged all da time..!!

this music has made me quite an introvert,ill be honest to myself......before i used to listen to psy i was diffrent...i could sit between a group who i may or may not know and talk to them about anything under the sun........now im happy being alone.....and now when i meet my old friends who i was friends with before starting out....i am lost.....they think im aloof..........relationships with someone out of your community becomes a pain......how do you tell them why you keep shut most of the time?why you like staring at the walls.......why you hate alcohol......why you cant go out for a hip hop night......why you dont get off the x box.........

holy crap dude i know exactly what you mean. i just stare at everything and space off all day. people are always like "why do you never talk to me" and im like cause i didnt even know you were there...i was makin the walls breathe and watchin the fractal patterns Its tough sometimes because people want a bigger piece of me than i wanna give out a lot of the time.
