how do you feel telling ppl out of this scene that your style is trance

I just tell people I listen to Pop music.
I'm ashamed of the fact I listen to psy-trance, tis a very sinful thing.

Man if people ask me what im listening to i tell them straight up im listenin to psy trance. and i usually get blank looks back from them. if i explain they usually are still too thick to get it. then if they listen to it many think its stupid. quite a few people though i have gotten started on trance. i can find trance that i know that person will like based on their musical tastes/personality. i mean shit...the psy scene is so divided genre-wise, if you didnt listen to psy music and someone came up to you and put some full on in your ear and you dont like full on, and they say yeah this is psy trance...you are probably gonna say "man i dont like psy"
I guess psy has a lot to do with my personal life. i have to listen to so much of it a day or i start to fiend. hahaha.
I always tell people exactly how i feel about psy, and if they ask me questions about things i do and they way i live my life...shit ill tell them. i dont care. i am very different from most people, and am not ashamed.

actully here where i live when you have 3 clubs that brings every other weekend skazi sub 6 or astrix telling poeple you hear trance has become fashion

i usually get mixed reactions from every one
Most girls see me as a threat or as awfully dumb and most men think am easy.
but am sure if not psy trance i would still get the same reactions so... why should i not tell.

I always carry my demo trance mix and demo psy dub mix on Iriver and when oeple ask what I like for music I say "Listen" and 70% of the time for trance I get "Wow that is awesome" and 99% of the time for psydub I get "Cool can you dj at my birhtday party etc?" and I usually say eay sure anything for somebody open minded for free  |

Well first of all I could care less of what other ppl will think of me and second since I am adicted to music( a vast variety of styles) I always have my CDplay and case with me.... so if some one ask what I am listening to I just hand them my headphones and since I dig "prog" much more then I dig fulon the usual reaction I get is "nice stuff can u burn me a cd with some of this stuff?"
So this is my 2cents

Ps: and as for relationship goes... I got my GF adicted to trance (all kinds) so I guess it had a positive afect on it !!!!!

I can sense that many people in here are talking about drugs
well man
I tripped be4 getting into pys trance music and I don't think that u need drugs to hear this kind of music
yes I like trance music what are u scared off ?
I tell anyone and many that heard it for the first time felt the energy and liked it
if want to realte drugs with music then its ur own point of view I can still trip without music lol nature is quite enough

Hehe I took acid once and never touched drugs again, stupid stuff made me sick in the head for the next 6 months, and then took ages to get off the anti depressants grrr.... you don;t need drugs fr this usic, but since I stopped being so full on into traditional trance, I mainly listen to duban ambient, it makes the world seem so much brighter |

you do not need drugs to appreciate psytrance at all.
however,
you DO need drugs if you wish to experience true psychedelia. a lot of people dont wish to or want to which is fine though.
it just pisses me off when people say, "ooooh the music was such a psychedelic experience" so what did you take? "nothing."
you cannot experience true psychedelia without drugs. however, you can still experience psytrance and love it without it. |
