You guys are all wrong. Credit goes to the Goans, the Portuguese and to the "sossegad" way of life.
Then came the hippies. Then came the trance.
I know id still be chilling in Goa even if there was no trance culture. Maybe catch a goan wedding... thats quite a party!

I've never denied the contribution of the freaks. All I'm saying is that we give them more credit than they deserve. Nobody talks about the Goan people, their hospitality and all that... and about my Id, well that was inspired by a Beatles song, and the Beatles were no freaks. and the avatar is a pic of warning sign, again, nothing to do with the freaks!

My point is.. A Lotta people 'tuned-in, turned-on & dropped-out', but didn't make any further progress on the road to liberation..
And that's exactly why I hold people like Albie Hoffman, Goa Gil, Alex Grey, Steve Jobs, Simon Posford, etc. in such high esteem 'coz when you're working towards your own unique vision, you 'blossom' & all the psychedelics in the world can't f**k you up 'coz you're no longer ruled by the mind anyway!
Hell, I say, bring it on.. Let's dance our way to salvation.
