I 've seen him in Belgium couple of months ago,

reallly intense storyteller he is!

Recognized a lot and recognized almost nothing.
And he still plays as shy boy without any air of whatsoever.

Saw him recently at E.C and sorry to say but I enjoyed Hujaboy and Winter Demon much more earlier this year... his ambient works are amazing but I think he should stick with hi saying he was leaving trance behind... Twisted hasn't been that great for me for a while just my 2 cents. I saw imon live years agon in about 1996-97 and was damn amzing back then, just doesn't seem to have the same feel now-a-days, maybe just me dunno hehe

The Journey Man Project,

Why do you say that? Simon to leave Trance behind? He became the trance king back in 94 and still is... Today, people still have not beat his Trance albums in terms of psychedelic music. His recent trance productions have been 'different' I will admit, but I feel they are much more mature and grown up, rather than the club oriented style that is very popular today. He's a very talented chap and hope to hear my trance tunes from him in 2005, which is the rumor.

Im with journey man here,
I just heard his killing joke - prana remix for the first time the other night, made back when he was in the peak of his power. Listen to that track and then listen to his new stuff. Its not even close. At times 5 layers of synths all perfectly stacked on eachother at light speed. I think his new stuff is way more clubby, his old stuff is just TWISTED. All the intensity, darkness and drive are gone now. To me his newer music sounds like someone trying to sound like simon posford but differnet.

Hey all... as I said I love his old stuff but his new works just haven't cut it for me. I'm not saying he is bad, he is excellent at what he does, I just don't enjoy it much at all... I personally find a lot of the so called evil producers of today do a great job of the twisted style Simon helped create, maybe a little more simplified. I reserve my judgement for now if he is to release some new stuff under the Hallucinogen name until I hear and I ill reply htne.

Point taken. To each his own.

...His last works on US1 were completely mind blowing though. Hes definetly matured... Gettin' old I suppose.

dance&smile, Hallucinogen will be playing in Japan for New Years and I think Christmas as well. So get ready!!! Right now he's in Thailand, left Australia yesterday. Also they just finished Shpongle 3 album, which will be out by March.
So he is full of new ideas and creativity. He's a master and he's a genius! Still number one after so many years....

I don't know, but I've been told, if you keep on dancing you won't grow old.

I have seen Hallucinogen live twice in the last ten days, and believe it, he's still the master. Under a good dose of LSD nothing comes close - he understands the mind of a tripper like no-one else, and is still able to manipulate his tracks minutely to bring the best out of the experience. It truely is solid music for the mind and the body. His set (I heard pretty much the same set twice, except the second one had a few system cuts early but had a couple of encores afterwards) is a blend of remixes of old tracks and newer tracks.. I didn't spot any Younger Brother in there (although I've heard him play The Finger in his live sets in the past). His newer remix of Gamma Goblins is excellent, definitely a standout of his set. I don't get any clubby feel from his newer tracks at all - they feel just as psychedelic as his old tracks, and I'm really looking forward to him releasing a couple.

I'll be heading to Europe next year just to catch him again. I always had respect for him, but my passion for seeing him play live just got refreshed.

Highly recommended.
