great choices...chakra,illuminiation,xerox,astrix,psysex the only flaw is that there is too much singing :-( i don't like those michelle adamson tracks much..

WORST CD of the YEAR! I usually love Hom-mega and all their artists, but this cd is wacked. I mean geez, people we are not making POP music here (think madonna, but WORSE), this is supposed to be psychedelic trance! If you want to put vocals in your music, at least have them be good.... or in key (dali... ahem). I know change is good, but only when it make something better, which is this case, didn't happen!
There are some good dancefloor tracks on here, but only 3, and 1 has already been previously released (Astrix/infected remix), the other 2 are the Black and White, which is a fun full on track, and the later Xerox & Illumnation track, which is beautiful, floaty, and completely epic. The psysex track would be good if it had different (more intelligent) vocals, but for what it is, its the best track with vocals on the cd.
VERY VERY disappointed in this release, Hom-Mega is going to have to blow my mind with the next one, because they definately went down a notch in my book, trying to be hip with the singing.
Please stick to what your good at...psychedelic trance!

Well, yes, trance is becoming pop music- a lot of it is formulated music that catches your ear real fast, and gets boring real fast. Didn't you notice?
And if you haven't noticed, this was released together with the most hyped commercial radio station in Israel named after and supported by a huge cellular company- not really a surprise, that it is more poppish and takes a direction that is more accessible to the big crowds.
The track with Chakra, though- what a joy!!! I dunno how ppl that don't know Chakra's old stuff feel with this track, but I got goosebumps all over and my legs started vibrating into dancing position!
I wish Rami will get moving with that second album of his- it'll been a decade soon since the first- quite enough I think.

Then for gods sake, lets call this something beside Trance, this horrible sub-genre needs its own label.
(btw Britney Spears called her new album trance, why don't we put this in the same category- top 40 trance). If trance is really taking that direction, kill me now please. Or give me ear plugs, so my ears can stop bleeding.

It was in all the news papers when her album first came out, she has all these little pink mandalas on her album too- Puke!
To keep this on topic of the BPM FM, I forgot to add the Chakra, Xerox & Illumination track as one that also saves this cd from getting immediatley shelved to the "no play" section. When is the Chakra E.P. coming out? I noticed that is was soon to be released on the Hom-Mega site, but haven't heard much about this lately.

I totally agree, no one in this trance scene can say that hommega is releasing shit becuase they have never relesed anything less than perfect (sound, production and music skills). I admit that hommega does not release my kind of music but still i enjoy listening to anything coming out of hommega....like someone said "The only label with quality control"..... |
