Hey guys..
I was just reading this thread in the Mexico forum: http://forum.isratrance.com/history-of-psytrance-culture-in-mexico/
And it was really interesting to see how things got going there. Now I only came into the scene in 2005. I would love to hear about the early times and when things got started here in the US. DO TELL! if you were there.. NYC, LA, SF, MIDWEST, TX, NC, etc. How did the psybug get into the US? |

I think Blue Room had something to do with the scene in SF, but I don't know much about the NY scene's history though.
In Texas, there was a crew called the Texaliens I think that did stuff way back, but I'm a little fuzzy on that history too... If anyone knowledgeable on the history could chime in, I'm really curious too.

The NW started being active around 1995...
It really picked up and took footing in 1998/1999...
LA and SF were also rocking around that time.
Many excellent parties down in California in the late 1990's.
Lots more diversity then too.
A waaaaaaay different scene...

In Texas, If I remember correctly, Universal Mind Productions along with Texaliens got things pumping in the late 90's early 2000's.... |

Astral Tribe in Dallas predated Universal Mind, but Texaliens in Austin were there in the beginning too. Mid/Late 90s for both.

In 1998 PsyTribe Had MFG, Space Tribe and Darshan play in Washington DC,
then in 1999 PsyTribe started in L.A. bringing Xerox & Freeman, Astral Projection, Deedrah, Infected Mushroom, 3.Turn, Sun Project and continued in 2000 until Today and Beyond!!  ... PsyTribe L.A., Tsunami N.Y. and Thump Radio S.F. would share flight expenses for the artists at the time. |
