Wow - amazing. I'd forgotten I'd done that tune.
It was made in about 1997 with a guy called Darren Evans - I had no idea it had been released, much less that it was called "Cyborganik-The Centre Of The Cyclone".
I found a sample of it on Saiko Sounds website and it took me right back to my Goa trance days. Made me smile it did.
Thanks Elias...

How can you miss one like that? I'd say that's the best work from your old days of Goa trance...
Centre of the Cyclone (Ott's Hurricane Relief Mix) would be too much to ask for, wouldn't it?

The parts for that will have long since vanished I'm afraid.
It was done on an Atari 1040 and an Akai S1000 - and saved on a pile of 1.4mb floppies which will have been destroyed when my studio got flooded in 1997.
Not bad for it's time though... |

He wasn't the founder of Dragonfly - he just worked there for a year.
I don't know where he went but this was released without my knowledge. Hope he spent the money on something good. |

Wish he could come back. There were some slamming releases when he was around, Touching Bass was one of my favourite compilations ever! Dragonfly's releases were very dissapointing after he left.

Were did I go wrong? Afaik, Absolute Thresholds and the full-on compilations came out after Darren left, could be wrong though. Anyway, I did like Shakta's latest LP very much though.
If Darren is responsible for (the very dissapointing imho) Absolute Thresholds, Beaches and Cream and Wingmakers compilations, then yes, I am mistaken and stand corrected.

As far as I'm aware, Dragonfly never released a compilation called "Touching Bass" but maybe I missed that one.
There were two Darrens who worked at Dragonfly at different times.
Darren Evans [who we are talking about here] left in 1997.
The other Darren [whose surname I don't know] came later. |

Dragonfly did release Touchin' Bass... summer 2002, (I remember I got the CD shortly after Samothraki 2002).
But, to stop making things confusing, Darren Evans is not the one I am talking about, it's the "other" Darren, whose surname I don't know either! Just knew him as Darren Dragonfly
