Starting to be like prices in Europe, anyhow it is still possible to get very cheap cd's from Israel. Older material (eg. Juno Reactor's Bible of Dreams that I just bought) costs only a bit less than 40 nis.

chaos.

as an ex "tower" store supervizer, let me give u some insight:
tower israel is now an israeli owned local store network, previous to that, the american moto of the network was that the stores contain the bigest veriety of records, and if u dont find what u want - it will be shiped from another store.
in order to maintain the idea, the network has to pay 4 big stores, a big stock and a big crew, in order to mantain all that the network runs at a "high profet per product" system - in which u pay 4 all that.

to sumn it up - if u want something rare - go to tower and ull pay, if not go to the junk or any other network.           The gull sees farthest who flies highest.

Raja rams stash bag 3 and 1200 mics are not rare. Why should i pay 99 nis for that?           -=The Meaning Of Life Is To Give Life A Meaning=

I'm sorry but neither of TLV branches have anything rare. In fact 90% of it's stock are Israeli releases. Or TIP and Twisted releases for a bit over the top prices. I can totally understand why they don't sell anything else, but i can't see why Madonna and Coldplay are sold for 60~70 Shekels and Raja Ram for 99. I don't buy Trance at Tower, the prices are ridiculous for what i look for and the local releases are rarely interesting. Me, atleast.

Is Israel a cheap or expensive country?

For example how much do you pay for a Beer on a

party or in a pub. I saw that travelling is much

cheaper then in Europe.

For a 0.5 Litter bear you would pay in the store about 8 NIS, and in a pub you can pay up to 30 NIS per bir, but usually its 20 NIS, but sometimes it could cost alot more..

Now getting to topic, I f-u-l-l-y agree with Chaos Theory about the prices, why in the hell should I pay 100 NIS for an album, when I work my ass off for every NIS, when you can find Pink Floyd, Led Zepplin, and much others in much cheaper prices..

Its not fair from the album producers to ask us to pay that much, and I guess that thats the exact reason why Tzlil dont have that various collection of trance albums, only shops like Tower Records got some, not all! and then you'll have to pay much more, even Krembo Shop would charge you for alot of money..

Why cant you be fair and ask us to pay 50-60 NIS for an album? then much more people would buy your album, since if you sell # cds for 99 NIS or sell #*3 in 50 NIS, your incomes would be the same! So you should sell in a cheaper price, then youll be pleased about the money, and the costumers would be much pleased from the prices, and would bitch about the prices, even though its justified as it is now!
