hey guys.

ive been really messing with fine tuning my synths as of late, but im just after some advice how you all manage your freqs (especially lo-mid freqs) for your synths.

i understand a sound is made of of harmonics and inharmonics, and ive had some good success doing thin q notches on the inharmonics and on the harmonics if needed. ive just been trying to get a good balance between the harmonics and inharmonics. what do you have success with?

also i want to know, some sounds i programme, when i look a an analyzer there are freqs present in between the harmonics and inarmonics, should i knock these out?

another thing, when you look at the spectrum for a saw you get a series of freqs (harmonics/inharmonics), do you ever notch with small q, the dips (in between the freqs) to create more space for the mix?

oh one more thing whats some of your favourite combinations of waveforms for synthesis?

thanks a bunch guys, hope you can help me out.

like kane says Harmonics or an inegre part that makes up the sound.
just get rid of the harsh ones, as always says narrow q swoop through

Yes, these things are your friend.

Imo you're better off tweaking the patch if it doesn't sound quite how you want it to.

And definitely don't cut all frequencies but the harmonics and inharmonics..to literally do this would just make a set a of sine waves, which can be very boring and is why we came up with all these other oscillators with harmonics of different patterns and characters.           You believe in the users?
Yeah, sure. If I don't have a user, then who wrote me?
