so, any experience about having a apc40 hooked up on the computer with other midi control usb devices especially:
a) a midi-interface
b) midi-kb
c) somekind of percussion pad f.e. maschine or akai lpd8
any glitches?

I have my midi keyboard and APC hooked up together all the time in the studio and I haven't had any problems.
Also had a friends Novation Launchpad hooked up at the same time as the APC and no problems.
Dunno about the maschine or akai lpd8 but wouldn't see why there would be problems.

If im using the apc for production, is it good if im using cubase5 as my daw?
coz im running on a tight budget and was hoping I could use the apc both for producing and to learn mixing. |

I don't use Cubase so I wouldn't know, but yeah the APC works just like any other MIDI controller in that you can manually assign knobs to different parameters...
You just don't have the luxury of all the MIDI mapping being done for you on the fly in ableton.
