Hey amigooz..I'll be heading with a friend to Goa around mid january and we were wondering whether it will be easy to find parties around..
Any help?

No one can tell you. Stop asking. No one knows more than two days in advance, and most people don't know more than a couple hours in advance. Otherwise it is just random rumors and bullshit. There are ALWAYS rumors flying around Goa, and maybe 1 in 20 actually mean something. I got so tired of people saying that they heard Bamboo Forest was on for tonight. After weeks of it I just started telling people, no, they were wrong, and I don't care who you heard it from.
How do you find the parties in Goa? You go there, you be friendly, you talk to people, you give off a good vibe, you hang out at Curly's, Nine Bar, wherever people are hanging out this year, you smoke some charas, and you wait for the news to get around.
That's how you find the parties. It isn't hard if you're friendly.
Can anyone promise you parties this year? No. Not for any day, not for New Years, not anything. No promises. The police are the police and you never know with them. You never know if you need more baksheesh, or if nothing will do it. You can probably count on daytime parties at whatever venue works out a deal for that (last year, Curly's), but not nighttime outside. You might be stuck with Paradisco. If I had to make my bets, I'd bet on Arambol, or even Querim. Anjuna and Vagator are probably over except for maybe Curly's and maybe other things maybe maybe for New Years. On the other hand, miracles happen and some random underground parties do sometimes happen. But the only way you'll ever know is by being at the party before it that night.
There. That's what you need to know before you go to Goa.
The moral of the story: If what you want is trance parties, you can probably find more wherever you are coming from. There are more parties in NYC or San Francisco than in Goa. If you are going to Goa, go for the atmosphere, the beaches, for the sense of the place, and just hope you get to dance a couple times. It's an amazing and beautiful place. It's great. But it is not non-stop outdoor parties. |

Im going to goa on 2nd Dec 2006... please if you can let me know about parties there from the 2nd till the 20th ... im takin some people with me who have never been to india... so it would be cool to get some good info...

lolol...looks like you werent bein friendly n smokin sum charas and all that wen u were askin for parties and being sent to bamboo forest ehehee  never the less looks like you got it right in the end....good advise for the rookie goa psytrancer
