With a little help from strangefreakquency, I determined that it was Nigel rocking my world at 10:00am. Any further info on this DJ would be lovely.... What label is he associated with? |

happy new year to all,
jst got bac frm goa yesterday, mission gettin there and gettin bac. Had the estrangest trip eva.. parties are there, hard to find, people are there 2 but hard 2 find...
made it 2 arambol b4 the speakers got taken away.. and hilltop on 1st was good music but as all say some shaddy crowd.
goa is still beautiful, its jst finding its way again if u know wat i mean. i hope all are happy!

Now for some reviews,
31st night…got news of more than 5 open air raves happening around north goa belt….hilltop, keri beach, monkey valley, banyan tree & disco valley, (not the same disco valley v thought bout…this time discovalley was shifted to an open ground just ahead of woodland restaurant..as the police were asking for more than 5lac from the orgs to hv party in the actual valley…fuckall location) ofcourse 9bar and primrose were on as usual too…
9Bar, Anjuna : As we were drinking till late that night we decided to spend midnight at 9bar…bad old musik…cheap crowd as was expected from every yrs experience…but v just wanted to b at some place at midnight…saw fireworks and left for hilltop..
hilltop entry was INR.1000/-…steep,steep….over crowded and janta crowd…decided to take on hilltop 1st afternoon onwards…as u knw thts the best time to be there,when the drunk morons leave..and the floor is taken by the reeeel candy men…hehe
Monkey Valley, Shapora : experience I will never forget throughout my life….this party will surely go down in my diary! reached the venue at about 4am totally stoned…and the neons and fluoro clothes were giving me a rush…watta powerfull show of psychedelia…there is a certain mystery about the entire place itself…we were hovering around tht place for ½ hour to find out where the kick drums are coming from…but unable to find a way…finally we went down through this steep slope meandering downwards towards the monkey forest…and voila!! Wat energy…it was dark and only UV tee's were visible...gr8 crowd too started swaying by around 5am...then the day break…the sky started getting clear and faces were more visible…I was dancing like there is no tmrw…this is probably the best sunrise balaagan I have seen…the sun was up and thts wen I came to knw wat beauty this place is….deep forest on all four sides and a trench in between which was transformed into dancefloor…ppl smoking and dancing like crazy…!! Thts wen the musik changed from the kindzadza’s,parasense to much fuller morning sounds lotsa azax, psychotic and cpu…we tried taking few snaps from cell and clipping from handycam…but the orgs quickly came and threatened us to pack it or else they will cease it…hehe…I knew wat they were pointing at…and wid due respect v shut it…beautiful faces in the morning everyone smiling at each other…now thts the magic of psy…u can go and smile, chat, share stuff wid anyone…and all u get back is smiley faces saying yea!…lovely lotsa respect!! by 10am we were reeely hungry and sat on a mattress near the chai mami...sipping tea and had a banana to recharge…left the party at around 10.30 wid musik still banging but fewer ppl i guess it must have canned by 11..
Went back to our cottage in vagator and crashed till bout afternoon….had some food and beer….and it was time for hilltop J
Hilltop, Anjuna: reached the place at bout 4pm on 1st Jan…and got exactly wat I expected….colors everywhere, no drunken freaks, and lotsa known faces from mumbai...the deco this year was even more freaky…wid three large fluoro psychedelic domes on the stage….the musik was insane and too many beautiful women…hehe our legs were aching from last partys mayhem…so we were jus gently resonating to the beats wid eyes shut…had a coupla beers and within no time we were back in action dancing like crazy stomping feet in all directions….sunset saw even more balagaan on the floor…I was out of my mind and had lost all sensation of pain or fatigue…throat became dry and parched…again went to the chai mami behind the speakers….i have to mention a new friend I met at the party…his name is Gianni from Switzerland…he offered me some #$@% and v both were sitting on the mattress and and enjoying the musik…got some great snaps and clips of this party in my cellfone…will upload later. Party ended at around 10pm…the hilltop owner said he had to pay 8lacs to the police for this party….dunno wats happening to Goa
1st time this year there was no party in bamboo forest….i luv tht place some great memories of it…
There was no party on the 2nd...but i guess somethin happened at Morji....anyways we decided to pass
Sweet lake party, Arambol : On 3rd nite..at bout 1am we left from vagator for the arambol party….reached prty place at 2am! There was no musik…thought it got canned, but since it was high tide then…the water was almost splashing on the speakers..so the orgs decided to mount the speakers on stands….within few minutes the musik was up and banging! Entire crowd which was sitting outside the barricade in circles doing $%^# moved inside…party started at around 3am!! Good musik but nothing that I haven’t heard before…lotsa firedancers and jugglers added a certain psy character to the place…it looked reeely awsum in the nite….it was day break by around 6.30 and te beauty of the place was just to mesmerizing….forest cliff on one side and beautiful blue sea as background on the other…the crowd was full of energy…I guess 90% firangs and 10% Indians and hot hot chicks (divya banyan’s…if anyone noticed)…in the morning came all the astrix’s and chemical crew’s…crazy party gr8 vibes!! Took some gr8 shots of this party…from the cliff too!! this will be on my wallpaper for the next six months…colorful and picturesque!!
Well that was the last party for me in the season…it was Wednesday 4th jan…v were too tired to go to the flea market...so just rested before we took our konkankanya express back to mumbai!! painful return I must say….

What a review. Awesome @natraja.
I had more or less same trip like you. Teo in the end killed it. Just too good for the hoffy's child that I was doing.
Instead of Monkey Valley (which we didnt know was happening), we went to Banyan Tree. 100 bucks entry 
Also, we went to Arambol on 30th night and not 3rd. Crazy vibes there. Only firangs and madness. I love the way these bloody israelis dance. Full on full on.. and yeah...the chicks are treat for the eyes!

Last year there was a party @ Monkey Valley on 7th & 8th jAN 05..
Cant forget dat Experience ......Killer Line Up ....Killer Party it was.............
I came to know that every year this party is going to happen...............

Same here psywave. The Monkey valley party last Jan7/8th was amazing. Full power. Great energy. Am looking for an update too on this one as I leave for Shapora today...
See all the galactic warriors next week. Happy dancing...and do let me know of any updates next week....
