Well EYB dude, there's something easy to infer from your comments on goa trance: you are new to the scene, no more than 5 years old. So you may have heard old goa tracks, but you didn't live it, hence you can't understand it.
But as you said, it's a question of taste. And I have a lot of German friends who indeed love Goa. I guess you love israeli full-on...am I right?

Well, I am glad you didn'd say my name on this special occasion. You being awarded, I mean. Just a joke.

Peace and Love.

Goa is the spirit !
without Goa, psytrance would become clubtrance or something like that.

listening to them n living them is totally a different phenomenon....for some it well may sound like a "forest of the saints" but hey............. thats what it is.
peace n long live goa nrg......let those **goa vibes** flow on n on n on.....after all..
its a ***love affair***           * I said "mom mom, I have found my spiritual enlightenment" and she said" there's another thing you have to find: A JOB" :>*

No you are not right, i am listen to israeli full on but i don't 'love' it.
I am very open minded for all kinds of music, especially psy.
I love lot of powerful music and lot of emotional music.
And i don't thing that you can say i live that and that not.

I did'nt know that there is a 'special way of living goa if you listen longer than 5 years' thing. And that i can't understand it coz that.

BTW i am not much longer than 5 years in the scene, oh shit now i am not a real goa listener.

It sounds a bit like we have the special vibe coz we listen goa, but this isn't true.
It doesn't really depend on the music, good people are good people, with goa or without.

Goa is just a place on earth. What is the meaning with 'clubtrance or something like that'? That goa is better, all other music sucks? This are not words of an open mind, not the nice and open spirit you mean.

Peace

First of all, saying that goa music was less complicated than newer music is just wrong. Less proffesional sound-wise, probably, but that also gave artists a lot of freedom in their way of work and ended up getting some of the most complex musical ideas in psytrance (listen to MFG - The Prophecy, some of the most complex melodic work in the history of psytrance). Nowadays structure and sounds are limited by mixdown and 'proper' sound work - the theory behind newer music is more complex, but says nothing about things like complexity. On the contrary in most cases actually.

Which brings me to the second point. There is no valid way to compare goa and modern psytrance, they are too far apart. A few extremely rare exclusions (Younger Brother for instance), but that's about it.

i doubt much if the classic goatrance will be back as Terminator was , but i hope that the trend of
beatiful spiritual trance became stronger , and all we'll hear more majestic and mindbending soundscapes soon. Hovever it depends on market requirements at first.

Guys , did you hear "Velvet Sunshine" by Oliver Prime? No!? Strongly Recommended !!
Released on YSE Goa Compilation

Goa is not about sounds... it's about an idea - and today's ideas are certainly far off from being goa.

I do not think this is happening also as the ideas nowadays are more in the beat and in the quality than anything else...Even though i still hope for the Goa feeling to come back cause at the end of the day i love Goa!!! I long for that feeling of new ideas and feelings combined...
