Hey all, Well, i wanted to ask, i heard a lot about "Goa Gil" it sounded to me like a very important figure in the world of trance, but, i still don't know anything about him, so can anyone explain who he is? How does he represent himself? As what artist?

Well,Goa Gil for me is the grandfather to trance,his been there,seen that,done that!! But still plays for the love of the music!!
Ever time he came to greece to play he´d destroy a piece of the roof or wall of the club from the bass and thrumbing beats of his music!!!Amazing guy!!

I want a massive Goa Gil party in Israel, now. He's been there from the beginning, and he knows what parties are all about... Do you hear that organizers? Goa Gil comes to DJ, people will follow :)

actually today is his birthday bash party somewhere in the Northern CA .
a friend of mine in the states contacted him for booking and she said that he won't play unless the party follows the "Goa Gil Trance Dance initiation concept" and as she explained to me according to him the party must be a holy celebration of the Spirit, so basically he won't play if the organizers are money grabbing bastards .
isn't that nice to hear :)
but that kinda ruins the chances that he'll play here .

See thats a main reason why most(not all)the parties suk!!Cauz its all about the money and fame and not for the love of it!!
They(dj´s)started of playing cauz they loved it ,it waz there talent and they wanted to share it with the rest of us, but now they abuse the talent and do it for the money and fame(top 10)!!
So way to go Goa Gil!!! ;) ,fuk the money do it for the love of the music and for the meaning of psychedelic trance!!! :) thats the spirit !!! :) :) |
