Goa Gil or other big acts still coming to Goa??

was looking at goa gil's party schedule and noticed he dosent seem to come to Goa anymore.?? maybe somebody can confirm otherwise?
i was also wondering just how multicultural the Goa scene is now. is it mainly indians who run the parties now or do the europeans and japanese still come?

Goa Gil lives in Goa for part of the year I believe. I know big acts do go to Goa but the psychedelic scene is quite canned in India right now. I dont really know whats happening in Goa anymore, maybe some other ppl could weigh in on this? |

one day a guy walked into a super market to buy canned crabs,. He went to the crabs section and was checkin out all the canned crabs from different countries,. nicely packed and canned and shut with nice colourfull labels on it,. he came to this part where there were canned crabs from India,. but he was surprised to see that none of the crab cans were shut or had a lid on the can. He called the manager and asked why so?!,. so the manager replied that the crabs from all the other countries are pretty smart and if u leave the lid open they'll all help each other and run away,. but where as the indian crabs wont go anywhere coz if one crab tries to get out, another crab pulls its leg,. if that tries to get out then another crab pulls its legs,. so on and they start fighting n go on n on n on n on n onon onn nnnnnnnnn,. so they all just stay where they are,. never move on,. and hence no reason to waste money on lids and shut them...

Goa is dead, long live Goa.
Is something that's going on today.
Goa is very commercial now, Russian mafia, cops and pollution don't make it any better.
Frankly, i think Goa should be left alone to recuperate the effect of psytrance culture on it.
If you are traveling to India travel for the culture not for parties and definitely not Goa Gil,Hatti Baba > Goa Gil, lol. |

that would be a NO to "does goa gil still perform in goa?" then.
when i used to come from 1998-2003 he was still playing over xmas/ny and there were always a slew of big name acts at the perties back then...logic bomb, infected mushroom, green nuns (ect)
so can anyone answer my other question....do big name psy acts play in goa these days? |

I dont know about these big acts but Parvati Records - Giuseppe, Arjuna are in goa now , i will be there in January sometime , be sure to hear a set somewhere =)
