10 hours isn't a long drive at all, imo.. Of course I live in the Southwest where the distances are ten times bigger than on the East Coast.
but Albuquerque to Asheville?? that's a 30 hour drive...
  ..it's just another party.. |

time is running out.
If there are enough new york trance heads ready to get down in the woods of asheville we can arrange a 42 passenger bus.
there may be a chance of a stop in DC or maybe philly
"if interested in bus or van trips from NY please contact me asap at goadevotee@yahoo.com

I am normally not on this forum, but since there has been a thread, I thought I should post this here. Shane is no longer doing a bus from NYC to Goa Gil. So Rocky and I are doing a 15-passenger van from NYC to Goa Gil.
As it stands now, the van will leave Union Square East in Manhattan at 7 PM on Friday May 20th. We will leave Asheville first thing on Monday morning, and expect to arrive back in Manhattan early Monday
night.
The cost is $145 dollars person. While that might seem expensive, this is a very long trip -- about 13 hours. So we need to cover our costs for gas and mileage on the van. If you drove your own car it
would cost about that much in gas and tolls.
We will have limited room for cargo. You only need to camp for one night or so, so please be very considerate in the amount of stuff you decide to bring with you.
If we get enough people by May 13th, and decide to do a second van, then we will need two additional drivers. These drivers must be people that we know personally. So as it stands now, we are only
getting one van. We might get a second van, but don't count on it.
This is first come, first serve. That is based on when you pay, not what you say. So please send your money as soon as possible to get a seat. We will not be accepting new passengers after Friday, 13 May.
Please paypal $145.00 to paypal (at) matsyendra (dot) net. You must include the following information:
Your name, and the names of all other passengers with you
Your email address
Your phone number
The earliest time that you can leave Manhattan
You may try using the following link. Please let me know how it works:

If you have any questions, please let me know.
mailto:ggbus@matsyendra.net
Thank you for your consideration.
PEACE & LOVE

Hey you lazy New yorkers !!! get yer asses down to asheville, it's going to be one hell of a party. The location is heavenly, the music divine, and the organizers reputed. I'm sure it's going to be more than worth it.
Pls support the scenes in other places. I've flown to NYC for two synthetic sadhus parties - as in flew down from texas the evening of the party, then flew back right after the party. and all i can remember clearly is the good times - no tiredness, no expenses, no missed flights, nothing - just the image of a few hundred people stomping in a huge warehouse with amazing deco and great artists. And it's so worth it.
As starsky would say, DO IT !!
I wish i could go, but Grapes of Wrath is coming to texas the same night, so....
Btw, i hadn't been to gil's website in a while. This scrapbook is such a gem:

its easy... exit the airport, makin a right, and follow the directions....
Take 280 West towards Brevard
Go exactly 4 miles from the Airport and turn right
on South Mills River Road. It’s the next right past the turn for
North Mills River Campground.
Stay on South Mills River Road for 5 miles to the dead end.
turn right on the gravel road (Watagnee Trail)...
you’ll see the Deerfields Sign.
Come up the gravel road 3 miles. Stay straight where the road
narrows (you’ll see the Deerfields Sign) and you’ll drive through the
Deerfields entrance.
Deerfields is only 9 miles from the asheville nc airport.
