i think they wanted to come to burning man and totally burn it - for free and in the spirt of trance, like they reportedly did in Goa last season! I heard they completely rocked, stole the show from the Russian-Mafia-vibe crew...
They had put Burningman on their calander for the last 4 months... but Solstice is one of the biggest and best connected organizers in the world, and probably put incredible pressure and tempting offers on them to change their plans. (123,456,789,101112 yen,
5-star acomodation, any kind of hookups imaginable). that is just what I think.
GMS will be missed by many. If there was anyone capable of turning the goa-vibe on to the non-trancer majority on the Playa..they could! I would be sad to hear if -any- psytrance artists who planned on coming, couldn't make it to the BM this year!

Kudos to uncle bob and all of the people that really wants psytrance be more than just "a kind of music" on the playa.
No matter what people says but GMS was going to rock the playa and they were going to show BRC how killer their music and how great their vibe is. Definetely their intentions was to open up those doors that haters still closing, they were bringing the msg!.
Hope the psytrance saves BM this year.

ha!~ psyclotron that is very funny!! considering gms requires more money per gig than most other artists except the like who want to be rock stars instead of just being freaks who happen to also make killer music...
listen to artists like grapes of wrath osom penta or parahalu..each track doesnt sound anything like the other,(and to go further its taste we simply dont like the same style of trance).,its also funny you have labeled us "haters" since we dont like what you like yet none of us brought hate up you did,,,all too ironic...
as i said i give Gms credit where its due they were once pioneers the issue for me is i havent heard much evolution since...i can always tell its a gms or side project of gms im never surprised anymore...
and last last time burningman isnt about money..so if they can get paid somewhere else thats great but that has nothing to do with the spirit of bman...theres always another gig for $ not always a chance to be part of an experience that you arent getting paid for.,..

you are correct Sho. IMO the vetran psy-artists deserve the proper gig with pay, they are still freaks though, vetran freaks! each to there own
but enough already . I can't make it to The Burn this year and even if GMS or any spun people had decided to come out and play with us , who's to say it would be easy to find out were and when they would be. the playa is so huge and we all get so f'd up i would probably miss them anyways. and not care a damn because i would be hanging out with friends listening to other music or enjoying the artwork. it would be cool if they were to play at say after the man burns in the center. just so psy was represented more . i ran away from the pop house that was played last year. at our trance village we were squezed between breaks systems . one of witch decided to point there speekers at our dance floor because they hated trance so much.
anyways i could ramble about BM forever. so anyone who hasn't been GO SOON befor it gets over $300 to go!!!

Its a good thing you can tell.. that mins that the artist creat own sound and style.

lets all just accept that there are two seperate genres we called psy trance. we both think the other sounds repetitive and formulacic. let s call it psy A for happy, and Psy B for psychotic. everybody happy, and come on,. the money for nothing trac is house music, no?
