of course they got thier own style , but! without gms all these artists were probably still makin pure goa sound such as astral prodjection or whatever , becuase befor gms the only thing we had was astral projection or x-dream with the greatest album radio , but this one has brougth the music into other direction's . but lets get back to the points without the gms sound ppl like alien project , talamasca , skazi whould have nothing to creat now! or any inspiration source ! of course thier own style but every sound and sound is under the GMS basic

look guys...
i dont want to get to this pointless discussion of what if GMS wasnt there..
but im sure cedric for example would do just fine without them.
its true that the whole trance scene would be totaly different.
but the main players, the talented artists would still be here, making thier music.
with or without GMS.

Well whats wrong with makin' a "theme" track?
i think its very cool and it puts a smile
on my face when i hear a them tracks (4 example Fuzzion - Brown Eyed Girl, Gms - Juice By GMS) in a party!!!!

I think that GMS trax sounds very much the same, and it´s quite boring to listen to them one after the other (for me, Bansi´s set in Celebra and on the other clubs he´ve played these last month in Brazil were kinda boring)... but if you´re listening to a set that is growing and then a GMS killer track  starts people surely go mad...
They know how to make ppl dig!

hey people, you've changed the subject...
i didn't say GMS tracks all sound the same (even though it might be true), and i didn't say their sound was boring. I just said that they use kitchy stuff in their music - and that's a fact.
(i'm not sating it's bad, even though i personally don't like the concept)

Luiz, good to know about their release in Spirit Zone, Zorba is also GMS right? but what about Frequency Deluxe any releases from them?
btw most of their overused sound and well know noises from GMS are in good part because of the synths and available technology imo

Frequency Deluxe is Shanti by himself AFAIK.
Never heard about any releases from him...HOWEVER, Spun Rec. is preparing a brand new compilation, and maybe it will include some killers  by Shanti.

There´s an american label called agriglyph records, or something like that...
they made a compilation last year and there was 2 Frequency Deluxe tracks on it...
also GMS and some american artists more into full on and hard trance stuff...
also one track that was a colaboration between shanti and a guy from LA... nice stuff... a bit strange, but is always good to know that there´s a freak somewhere around the globe producing some nice psychedelic stuff...

Wako - it's good because this Minimal scene was just too much in 2001 - Maybe the worst year in the whole Trance underground scene imho.
We all just need to get happy.

well as someone mentioned here, yes GMS have a winning formula. just the same as Alien Project, Astral, Astrix, Nomad, etc.
imo, hearing one track or two in a party or at home can be enjoyable. but I think that hearing a 2-3 hours live set of GMS would be a torturement of boredom.
