dirty harry rox indeed ! , i cant forget the first time i heard it befor like 4 years i think , i was amazed how psytrance can be so close to metal music and how psytrance can kick ur ass and be agressive+evil  , funny its use to be massive "night" music back to these years

cannibal , has you know alot of rock artist became trance artist (well do you see what the LSD doin' to the rock music?)
well even suzuki was a metal-drummer in his childhood .
sun project been into the metal scene till the left to vocation in Goa and we all know what come from there trip to india .

klichevski , many other from the metal turn's into trance , for example the israelien metal band that called : Orphands Land are now : Kobi Parchi = MDMA records and the Keyboard guy is Itchik Levi = SandMAn
and the list is very long

Orphand land are great band , one of my favs but i didnt know that sandman is part of the band now (dont they have a russion key-guy?).
anyway alot of conection between trance and metal

gms kitsh? whoa man this seems a little over the top as a criticism.
i know what you might mean by a bit samey etc but kitsch? you should try listening to some of the awful crap that gets released over here and deluded clubbers buy by the bucketload (eg any compilation with euphoria in the title anything mixed by judge jules)
anyway theres nothing wrong with a jokey sample or two in a track surely, after all this is meant to be fun!

i agree with what canibal said about GMS being pioneers in the full on scene.
BUT
all the other artists you wrote have thier own style and u cant say they all immitate GMS.
Skazi got his uniqe warzone style.
Talamasca got his own style.
Absolum too...
but GMS are the pioneers for sure.
i remember the first track that got me into full on.
it was:
GMS vs. Earthling - Cheesballs
and i love it until today.
KILLER track.

Hey Munchie dude...next up for GMS is a track called "Shrek"...need I say more? ;-)
And I personally don't find it kitch...I wouldn't qualify any psy trance as kitch, because after all it's crazy music, whatever sub-genre you may happen to like best.
They are really talented. Only thing I can't really gather is releasing 4 albums in a year (that's bound to happen in 2002), but then there are ppl (like our friend Wako here) who can't seem to get enough of Growling Mad Science...

I wouldn't call GMS Kitch, but they do tend to make music for the masses, and that's fine.
I like it from time to time, something amusing, enjoyable, that is not too sophisticated, but vibes you.
I was listening to GMS on my way to work this morning, and it made the day start fine.
BTW, a GMS pokemon track sounds like a beautiful idea

I liked them alot couple of years ago, nowaday i cant stand them anymore but thats just me... anyway i kinda like their zorba project even thougt its a bit cheesy.
