2007 they built a beautiful main floor that worked for only 24 hrs and kept the festival going in a not nice second floor... Very weird way to make it
And the chill out was completelly abandoned, showing how the organization care about it. Before I go heard so many good things about this festival that convinced me to be there, but in the end was average one.Was my first time at Tshitraka and probably the last one

I second this.
Plus it was mainly Electro/Progressive house that was played last year.
Another point which really isn't anyones fault but has to be taken in consideration is the COLD weather at night.
The food was very good last year, btw:-)

I also think the main stage should have stayed open for several days. But I didn't mind the electro/prog house though. If you dont like that music there are plenty of other german festivals to choose from Djones
As for the weather, I agree that one should bring some warm clothes for the night as the nights at the airbase can get quite chilly especially at the open places.
Anyways, I think I'm going again this year. Had a really nice time last year

Tshitraka Project Open Air Festival
July 3 - 9, 2008
7 Days International Psychedelic & Progressive Trance OA Festival
With 7 days and 6 nights of non stop music and culture we are going to celebrate the festival with an enhanced and refreshed concept, bringing you a carefully selected balance of full on, psychedelic and progressive trance.

After arriving to one of these airports you need to go by train to come to Wittstock.
Arrival by train
Arrival Train Station: Wittstock (Dosse) Bahnhof
Use the Deutsch Bahn to get to your arrival trainstation "Wittstock (Dosse)" Bahnhof . The train tickets to Wittstock (Dosse) Bahnhof are not bookable online. You can only purchase your ticket at the conductor in the train. A ticket from Berlin Schoenefeld to Wittstock/Dosse Bahnhof for example should cost a maximum of 11- Euros (one way).
From Airport Berlin Schoenefeld use S-Bahn S9 which is running directly till Berlin Spandau. The S9 is running every 20 minutes.
In Berlin Spandau you have to change into Regional Train to Wittstock (Dosse) which is running ervery hour from 5:16 AM till 8:16 PM.
From Airport Berlin-Tegel you should use Bus X9 to Zoologischer Garten, there you change into Subway No.7 to Berlin-Spandau and from there you change into the Regional Train to Wittstock (Dosse), which should be also around 11,- Euro (one way)
From Berlin-Spandau the trains will run every hour between 5:16 AM and 08:16 PM . Also you can check http://www.bahn.de and http://www.vbbonline.de, they offer also different languages.
From trainstation Wittstock (Dosse) we will offer a shuttle service to the festivalarea.

Tickets for the Tshitraka Project OA Festival are only available

1st Period 1.March - 1.April 200 Tickets 30 €
2nd Period 1.April - 1.May 200 Tickets 35 €
3rd Period 1.May - 20.June 40 €
Tickets at the Doors 55 €
