Also I noticed that the music seemed to be louder earlier on Friday night, and the volume was turned down around 12-1am. Dont know why it was turned down, but it remained at this lower volume the remaining part of the night and morning. Overall, I feel there wasn't enough wattage and the levels weren't adjusted properly.

It was actually much later during Neuromotor's set that the venue owner asked that the volume be lowered. There is one neighbor within a mile of the venue who invariably calls in noise complaints to the county sheriff.

Because we responded to the request quickly, there were no noise complaints the entire weekend (a must if the venue is to be able to continue to host EDM events). We received high praise from locals as a result.

:sigh: Life is a series of compromises . . .

GREAT PARTY!

i loved the location - truly magical and mystical at once.

the music that i heard was great! fred has no mercy - his sets are so different from most other dark sets. no chaos - a very ordered set which just built up on itself. rolling baselines - twisted sounds. KUDOS!

devotee your backdrops astound me.

SOT i thought your set was great! do you produce music ??

I agree about the sound though! the bass was just overpowering the other sounds. this is just in comparison to the gil party at asheville where the sound was just phenomenal. maybe it was the cave echoing the sound. dunno.

I met really nice people too! a very diverse croud - not what u would expect at a goa party - but then again who made guidelines? haha... but WHERE IS THE ENERGY PEOPLE??? at 7 am the party was empty! where were yall??? the more you dance - the more energy the party has. i felt so bad for the djs playing in the morning with just two three people jumping around. in goa parties the nights are intense but the mornings are beautiful! forget about your sleep senses! even at asheville - people seemed to scurry off in the morning! i dont understand why?

lovely party though... i need this.

thank you chilluminati and touch samadhi.

your parties are always filled with good spirit and we can see the effort yall put in everytime.           ToO mUcH pReSsUrE oN tHe BrAiN

Hello All!!

This gathering was like a breath of fresh air to me..and i really needed it in my congested life..lol..the location was perfectly suited for the event and kudos to the people who chose it..

The best part I liked about the party were the people..So many smiling faces..unlike the clubs in Milwaukee where it seems like a war zone....everyone was there to have a good time and interact with people.

The music was awesome..and it reminded me of my times in Goa back in 1998 and 99..the deco was well done..

The only thing I would say that needed improvement was the information about the lineup..a lot of people didnt have the time or the energy to stay up for 36 hrs!! lol..if we had known the lineup..we could pace ourselves to see the DJs we wanted to..

In the end..I want to thank the organizers ==Chilluminati..and Psymbolic..for putting together a great show..with great people..Please let me know if you need my help in organizing events in the future..I would love to be part of your special family.

You may think you can fly..but you better not try :)

wow.

that's very true.

i had a great time, the cave was amazing. when i wasn't dancing or trippin' out on tha doofers and doofers to be i was just in aw of the rock formation, super trippy!

i thought the sound was pretty good. the loudest at an outdoor event in a while.

i can't wait to see more pics. the deco was very well laid out and on sat the visuals were especially rad with the whole live feedback tweakyness.
thanx chilluminati and psymbolic can't wait till next year. i think annual is a definite. i even saw caveman bob groovin' on sunday morning!

big thanks to all

chilluminati is really a metagroup, a collective of SIX promotional or psychedelic community groups: Psymbolic, TOUCH Samadhi, Divine Balance, Tranceplant Records, Audiognomes, and Vision Collective. All of these organizations and folks played HUGE roles in making GeoLogic happen.

We also have tight working relationships with SPUNN, Consciousness Cafe, and Subconscious Collective (Iowa crew). Spunn and Iowa ninjas both went well out of their way to make this event a wompin success.

It is a network-based collective where everyone is an equal node on the network and decisions are made by a kind of weird chaotic neural process.

We are linked by optic fiber and float in a pool of liquid nutrient, exuding our ideas into a kind of mycelial soup that gets into all the equipment and requires frequent trips to the laundromat.

The caveman was mightily impressed by our event and was really grooving on it. I think we have a good chance to really change his brain and give him a whole new deal.

I'm mad at myself a little bit that I was too lazy/tired/fried on Saturday night and did not catch beautifull Spunn's performences on main stage and Psymbolic visuals ...oh well

NEUROMOTOR, played a wicked live set! I heard that his timing got switched. He started playing at 1:00AM (Friday night) but then SOT came on, and Neuro only resumed the controls around 3'ish. So 3 to about 5:30-5:45 was totally Fred with flawless mixing and a night side of Neuromotor that I don't think I've seen before in most of his released music.... Overall, an incredible live set.

I believe we had trouble setting up his gear, looking for some strange cable at 12:59 am. yes we was shifted around, also spook was added at the last minute, or ie missed during the writing of the original lineup, which was written by derby and approved by one other person.           http://talkderby2me.com

Inavailability of a proper Line-up (even after repeadetly asking the organizers)

Yes I tried so hard to get the lineup printed on the maps given out at the gate, but lots of things were last minute. I will try harder next time.

OK major "my brain is gone" syndrome during my first "thank you" post.

I knew I had forgotten someone very special:
Shai and the entire divine balance crew ... DOH.

Anyway much thanks to shai for providing her skills and not just behind the decks but her beautiful presence and grace around shawnee cave.

Thanks to Jeto and Konflux for making the journey from Cali. I hope you made your flights.

ok, now if I forgot another group of people ... please email me!!

I wish I could sync my brain to my laptop or palm device ... nevermind just geeking out here.

Sound on the main stage. In my opinion, the bass was echoing way too loudly in the cave and the mids and treble could barely be heard unless you were standing 5 feet from the speaker.

Yes we had a few complaints about the sound being not quite right. Overall people enjoyed the sound but said it could have been a little better. I will try to make sure to have people who know sound to listen to it before we get into the party.

I think the owner was complaining about the noise, a lot of events get stopped or he may get ticketed if the neighbors complain and call the cops. Who wants cops at your party to shut it down for noise complaints? I would rather have a lower volume than be forced to leave and be heavily ticketed or fined.
