THANK YOU RICH! after such an outpouring of positivity following gemini, I don't know what to say to keep up the high levels of enthusiasm  looking foward to next year!
minor quip: the "line array" soundsystem (full-range component) was cranked so loud that the immediately adjacent dancefloor was uninhabitable by myself and several other ashe-villans for almost the entirety of the festival due the potentially ear-damaging SPL .... unfortunately, I didn't bring earplugs!
can we use full circle sound next year? I know you dont want to fool with it, but I'll come early to help you set it up?

such an amazing weekend in belden.
our medimonks set went well i think, thanks for the support and feedback from my friends.
the rest of the music went by like a dream... of who i heard i enjoyed particularly; collision, konflux, moksa, shapestatic, wichdokta, lauryn, primordial ooze... well honestly i spent most of my time chilling at the super cabin #5! i could hear it just as well from my porch! the dancefloor was a bit piercing for me as well, im trying to conserve my ears for many years of use... the subs were on point though, i was impressed how much bass our tunes had!!!
thanks wichdokta for your hospitality and all the laughs... cant wait for next year... i already have it marked on the calendar!

I'll be bringing out my soundsystem for next year. I needed a break, and loved every minute of it. Can't wait to see everyone this summer at all the other fests. I won't be working, just chilling. |

it was his first psy event in the united states for one...
he wouldn't stop calling it a "rave" no matter how much we attempted to educate him.
if you expect something hard enough, perhaps you will interpret it as such, regardless of what the experience is... |

ok, its for sure not the subject matter that i would focus on for a documentary, but really, whats so wrong with what the kid has done?
I thought the comments from people were well thought out. Sure its not a "rave" in the traditional connotation, but to many that is all it is. I think he was trying to show that there was more to it than that.
I found the tracks with the drug samples way over the top...
but c'mon sex and drugs are a part of this culture too (Yay!)

As for myself, I was thrown into a loop of " What the fu-k is he trying to get at "! When he said " Documentary " I thought of telling the psy story. But that was incredibly wrong. But I have to remember people see things their own way, and before I let any other person film this event, I'm going to make sure who and what it's about! I apologize to all for letting him do what he's done. But Mehgan does have a piont, and we shouldn't be ashamed of the human indulgence of sex and drugs, but it should have been delt with in a more possitive way. To me, it looked like he was trying to get laid. I'm sure he failed! |
