Last year's gemini was the farewell performance of my sneakers, haha.
I'll have to bring rubber boots or something to dance in this year, that ground gets significantly muddy.
Has the morning headliner been announced yet? *crosses fingers for Filteria* |

@ Josie; thanks for volunteering to hose down the dancefloor. It's an important job.
@ RK9; thank god for that mudd, or it would have been a farewell to your nose and sinuses, hahaha. |

@ RK9- prog stuff is not peak time high energry music. It fits into a flow of a party as the energy is building up, or building down...
There will be a healthy dose of lower bpm grooves at Gemini, but it will be at the appropriate times

Well hold the phone here paradigigigim, I see where RK9 is coming from. Where does "appropriate time" come from, anyway? Has anyone ever thrown a party that had dark progressive and chill at night and high intensity fullon stuff in the day? Wouldn't it also make sense to build up with the sunrise and get really intense in the middle of the day and then wind down with sunset...as a normal person's circadian rhythm would? (and yes I know many of us party goers are nightowls, but c'mon the day can be intense too) I feel this would make for an awesome daytime ride and interesting dreamy psychedelic night time.
I'm not saying this for Gemini, but Lawrence, it seems like you're talking about a flow that--while sort of a standard now for three day festivals--is still just an interpretation. I personally think there could be at least a few other interpretations of a psy party's flow. I have yet to see any in action though...
I for one like his idea about having one night be prog and slower stuff and one night be the dark fast crazy fullon. |

your idea of a different approach sounds really interesting but it's my understanding that the main purpose and idea of psytrance party (the whole circle) is to conquer the darkness and gather as many dancers as possible throughout the whole night and keep them grooving and trancing untill the sunrise to experience the morning glory.
I am affraid that implementing two different aproaches at the same event would really disperse the energy on the dancefloor - and now you are giving me an idea where your nickname is coming from, Scatter

I was just trying to say that there is such a thing as high-energy progressive. It's not AS high-energy as full-on/full-power but you could definitely dance all night to it
I think I got food poisoning or something last year. Ate two big pancake breakfasts at the restaurant and threw them both up
Definitely going to bring some munchies of my own this year, haven't decided what yet though |

I am getting so excited for Gemini and I think I am finally going to go for sure now. I've been tossing around the idea Gaian Mind but seriously you can't beat the land at Gemini and just the Northern Cali Vibes! It's where its at!
Let's see...
Maryland.. or Northern Cali next to Mount Shasta? Not a tough decision
See you all on the dance floor!

hello everyone this will be my first Gemini as i made the mistake of choosing raindance over this last year, well sort of. my good friends went to the campout so i stuck with them. But, i cannot believe that there wasn't ANY psytrance played at all!!! can you believe it i was crushed... that will not happen again. well what i am trying to say is i look forward to meeting everyone and wish to help out any way that i can, but it seems everything is worked out.
Hello again |
