Review:

Ok, all you people who say melodic and emotional psytrance isn't produced very often nowadays should take note of this album. There's more to Deja Vu records than just the Zen compilations. Check your favourite store for this one. This is emotional and melodic psytrance all the way. To describe it accurately: It's somewhat of a crossover between Atomic Pulse/Overlap. But different (obviously) Anyway, all tracks on offer here are in the same style, there is NO chillout track to be found on this. It's all kicking full on like melodic psytrance. Track 1 immediately hits you with a soft guitar melody. Take note of this guitar because you'll be hearing it in a lot of tracks. Track 2 is more standard fullon, but with great melody. Track 3 follows more track 1, with guitar and again, lots of melody. Track 4 also does guitar and is somewhat darker. Track 5 is more standard again, and the least of all the tracks on offer here in my opinion. The Final Element remix is great, good melody, beat and again the guitar. Track 7, 8, 9... Well, these are just awesome. If you like it melodic, kicking and just plain psytrance... Yeah, this is the place to be...! Track 9 is actually so melodic you could be listening to regular emotional trance, but then quickly the psy-influence comes up! In short: My conclusion must be that every self respecting melodic psytrance lover should own this! So, check out this talented artist from Russia! Great work Ilya, keep it up!!           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."

Yes, this is another hidden gem from Deja Vu.

G-Light are in a league of their own, but if you held a knife to my throat and asked me to compare this project with other artists, i would say it's best described as Silicon Sound meets Parasense. And while this may not be entirely accurate, that's the best i can do with a knife to my throat.
But you get the idea, the overall sound is very morning melodic, but nicely layered over predominantly night-time basslines.

Beautiful emotional music with a slightly nervous edge ... the overall feeling is like highly passionate early-morning break-up sex that almost moves you to tears.
huh?

Remastering? This album sounds pretty good to me, I don't see why remastering is needed...           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."

listen bad mastering. If not.... I'm sorry.

@Klaxer: My hearing is excellent and so is my sound sytem, thank you very much. And believe me, I've heard bad mastering, and this ain't it! Maybe the new copies of this cd have better mastering?? And I've bought the original @ psyshop, that's for sure. I never copy cd's or download the mp3's since I like to support the artists whose albums I like!

@G-Light:

Sorry I mentioned Ilya, but in the digipak it says: Mixed and Mastered by: Ilya Truskovsky. It didn't say your name so I wrongly assumed it was Ilya who was G-Light. Sorry!           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."

max, i think i had read somewhere you were trying to get the album re-released with better mastering (and perhaps your name on it as well? ), is that correct and if it is, do you any idea when that will happen?

either how, i think you got a fresh sound and i'd hope to hear more from you in the future
