Hello, Psytrancers, nice to read you again!
I haven't been on this forum for a while and it's a real pleasure to give you some news about our band.
Asura is back in this middle of 2004. A new edition of Lost Eden is coming on June, 1st, in the USA market, with a new cover and a modified tracklisting, and is released by TV Matters.
Moreover, the 3rd album of the band (which name is for the moment "Redemption") is to be composed, and should be out in the two first quarters of 2005, with more or less 15 new tracks, even more ecclectic than the first two albums. Indeed, "Redemption" will be a mixture between Trip Hop, Ambient, Trance, Space, Chill, Classical Musics, even Pop, and, of course, Psychedelic. More vocal and acoustic, but still overall electronic and melodic, it'll try to cover musical atmospheres taken from all over the world, in all styles mixable.
Hope you'll enjoy this album as we are enjoying to compose it, and I and we wish you all the best positive vibrations possible...
Big love from France, psyaddicts!

one of the best news i've heard so far. the new album news is great. I expect a pure quality 3rd album, after the previous 2 classic masterpiece ground breaking albums we will both have a 3rd shpongle and 3rd asura in 2005. what more can we ask of. thank you.
take care.           `Bottomless wonders spring from simple rules, which are repeated without end` Mandelbrot

Well done for your previous work too!
I really enjoy it and share it with others!
I'm kinda curious...
when you say pop...
dream pop or something ?
cause i can't think anything else for your music!!!           Minds are just like parachutes. They only work when they are open. :)

Hi Leeloo.
When I say Pop, it means music with vocals, verses, refrain, guitar, bass, but with some partcularisms, with our touch!

Magic touch you mean?

I had in mind something like Pink Floyd, Brian Eno, Tangerine Dream, Elizabeth Fraser or even Archive (totally Pink Floyd influenced group, followers) when I referred to dream pop (space rock whatever the tag)
A hypnotic, trippy and laid back groove with guitar effects, sensual or just haunting vocals but clear melody and alienated lyrics in a totally ethereal production... (wow I must write this down to remember that I have said it!)
Take your time guys... And make it the best of all three to become!!! Bon courage!!!

I meant our touch, Leelo...
But if you want absolutly a comparison, maybe you should search by the side of Peter Gabriel for the voices, and maybe too in some movie films like "Long walk home" and "Passion". Indeed, the new album will be worldlier than ever, too. World, Trip Hop, Big Beat, Ambient, Chillout, Spacey, Psy (less if you think psychedelism can only be trancey or ambient) Pop and Classical, here are the pathes we follow for the sequel of Lost Eden, and we have and had so many influences that it would be too long to list all of them... Just wait and ear, and you will see...

Wow!!! Gabriel's Passion is one of my favs...
But ok... I'll just wait, ear and mouth then!!!
Good luck!!!

PS IMO psychedelic music can be found in almost every genre even if we're talking about certain samples of a project!!!

Whoa. Peter Gabriel's soundtracks are amazingly touching.
With such comparison, your album must be a blast, or else you just have a very high self-esteem .

Still, Can't wait
Good luck.

"With such comparison, your album must be a blast, or else you just have a very high self-esteem3". To compare or be compared with something or someone doesn't mean to be equal to something, unfortunatly for us Lyri

Doesn't have to be equal, but could be similar.
And if it's similar, or at least close enough, I believe it is to be a good album.
By the way, now that I think of it, last time I heard your "The battle of devas", it kind of reminded me of Gabriel's "Rabbit-Proof Fence".

Still can't wait...
